Usually, I go right for the Space Zone early on in a playthrough, but I'm happy to say that you all allowed me to save the best for last by having the vote turn out this way, so thanks!
My favorite thing about the Space Zone is the way the reduced gravity plays into stages up here. It's the one part of the game where the floaty controls make perfect sense, and they actually cap things off with one of the toughest tests in the game with that swim through the star-filled space maze.
All in all, I think this place easily does the best job with its gravity gimmicks, and it has some memorable tunes and a certain boss making his second, and as of this point, final showing in the franchise to date. It's a fun little romp through the stars.
Once we have this last Golden Coin, we'll take a victory lap around the map before heading off to the file select screen one last time to set things up for the finale. It's coming at you next time, so I hope I'll see you there!

Coincidentally, "Space Zone" is also the name of that space-themed theme park in "Sim Theme Park"! That park requires 5 Golden Tickets to unlock. Also, The song in "Super Mario Land 2's" Space Zone kind of sounds like the Janet Jackson song, "When I Think of You"!

Is there a difference to the second level of Space Zone when playing in "Easy Mode" or no? It's always been frustrating for me even when the game first released.

@@Bean1227 I always had to lose my power-up at the end just before the boss. That last long vertical row of stars is too difficult for me. I don't remember how I did that as a kid back then.
