Really I didn’t understand the theme of this level. It’s all over the place. First it’s a love story, then it shows you in prison and escaping with a Koopa. Then course turns into a get a life level, and finally the course is back to the love story.

There is love story between goomba and goombette, then Mario kills one of the goombas (maybe friend of first goomba we've seen) and goes to jail for that crime. Then Mario esapes with help of his green friend that we see cooking fish in last screen. Then we see goomba and goombette are in fact Mario's neighbors (which Mario chooses to kill). Use imagination, the plot is there, though not obvious, but its up to us whether we say "plot is shit, because its all over the place" or we see level maker intentions...

So, for anyone confused on how the plot works: Basically, a Goomba falls in love with a Goombrat. But Mario accidentally killed the Goomba, which resulted in Mario sent to jail. After escaping the jail thanks to Koopa, Mario feels guilty and wants to find a 1-UP Mushroom in order to revive the Goomba, to no avail. He finally gets one. Then he revive the dead Goomba, and reunites it with Goombrat. They lived happily ever after.

Once upon a time, a Goomba and a Goombrat fell in love, but Mario accidentally killed the poor Goomba, and the Goombrat was sad. Mario lands in jail, but a Koopa Troopa helps him escape and tells Mario to find a 1-UP Mushroom to bring the Goomba back to life. After several attempts, Mario managed to get a 1-UP Mushroom and brought the Goomba back to life and reunited with his beloved Goombrat. They soon got married, Mario was a free man, and the Koopa Troopa eventually became a chef. And they all lived happily ever after. The End.

Goomba and Goombrat were in love, so they started dating each other. Mario murdered Goomba, and Goombrat called the police on him. 6 hours later, Mario was sent to prison. He teamed up with Koopa Troopa, another prisioner, to escape jail. They sucessfully escaped. After, no information of Koopa Troopa was found, but Mario got a 1-up and launched it into Goomba's grave. Goomba and Goombrat are now living in a house togheter. 1 day later, Mario murdered them both and ran away to Yoshi's island. New information of Koopa was found yesterday; He is living in a house, cooking.

people dont understand the story so ill write it out. a goomba and a (goombette? idk, im calling it a goombette) fall in love. mario kills the goomba, windowing the goombette. mario is sent to jail. he and a koopa help each other escape. mario then tries to find a 1-up to revive the murdered goomba. he finds one and resurrects him. the goomba and goombette are together again… until mario breaks into their home and finishes the job. (i assume mario only revived the goomba so he would know where the goombette lived. no loose ends.) in the end, mario murdered two innocent people and helped a known criminal escape from prison. definitely a bad guy.

So... Goomba is guided, and meets Goombrat, love at first sight. Mario is forced to then commit murder on the Goomba. This causes him to go to prison, and he escapes with his prison-buddy. Mario decides he want to live, so he tries to get a 1-Up. Sadly, trolls prevent him from getting it, until he finally gets one for real. Goombrat visits Dead Goomba, who falls from the sky and is alive again, love again. The end.
