This is my closest attempt so far at remaking mid-airs in SMM2. some boo's off-screen force you to look left.

Crazy how smm2 took away the ability to do real midairs. I would do like 6 midairs in a row back in smm1

I know right, I loved the trick so much back then from other people's levels that I put it in my SMM1 levels. I also miss when you could hold items and enemies while spinning in SMW in SMM1.

@@Shmoeseph5249 No, there weren't many bad levels with them at all, midairs are gone just because Nintendo doesn't like kaizo tech at all.

Throwing physics were significantly changed between the first and second games. It'd be kinda weird if they did that solely to remove midairs, but I can see it being part of the reason.
