Current max moons in each kingdom: Cap: 11 Cascade : 17 You can collect more then the amount listed here when you beat the game and when you have been to certain locations (To view your moon, hit - than y)

The purple coins are regional with means that you can only spend the coins in a specific kingdom so you didn't waste your time collecting those

The moon circles in the top left of how many are required to get to the next kingdom, and it restarts its delft whenever you put cappy on the globe, also once you beat the main storyline in a kindom you unlock more stuff, which is why it looked liked you misssed a lot of stuff last ep and got it now

Guys the purple coins are regional for each kingdom and are used to buy souvenirs costumes and completion. Also the big block and a lot of other moons are post game so don’t worry about all of them. Plus you can press select for the map and a nice brochure opens up with cool info on the kingdom as if you’re traveling. You can use this to travel to checkpoints and press Y to see the list of powermoons and talkatoo tells you the names of any you don’t have in up to three while hint toad shows you there location. Lastly all the subsections through pipes and cap doors often have a hidden moon as well

I gotta admit, at first I was hoping you'd switch up who plays and do a single player playthrough (because of all the jumping mechanics you need in SP) but it's fun to see 2-player gameplay!
