we even played on money town city river where you gotta guess few words for our own topics and one was phone ring tone or song and then i came up with fly octo fly by ebb and flow and they didn't knew that nintendo was making music for their games, and then i gained my 10 points. @@NIRM2009 You're completly wrong! I mean, no doubt that they love music, but it is a job like any other and they have to be payed for it. Or would policemans and firefighters work for free just because their vocation is to save people? This misconception about musicians that they should play for free just because they love music is ruining the business in some cases! Peoply sadly use that argument in order to not pay musicians and ask them to work for free. Also, the musicians in this orchestra are not amateurs, they are professional and have a salary.

Orchestras always astound me. The coordination it requires to sound this amazing is unreal. Everyone is a specialized piece to the sound and they practice mastering their own part. I’m just stating the obvious at this point but yeah.

I love how the underwater theme of both the original game and super mario world are both at a waltz like rythm (1/3 if i'm not mistaken). Kondo is truly a musical genius! And this performance is giving some classics the respect they deserve!

The immense amount of talent to the musicians, conductor, and the arranger as well as the original creator which is Koji Kondo deserve literally the most recognition as being some of the finest musicians to ever live on this planet. This is simply amazing and as a band nerd as well as a gamer this connects with me in such a way I can not put in to words.

The first uninterrupted snippet of the Mario Movie just released, and it has a gorgeous orchestral soundtrack -- the composers (Brian Tyler/Koji Kondo) fit in at least 8 pieces from the games in a clip only a minute and 30 seconds long!!!

This is a magical celebration of the Koji Kondo's classic Mario themes superbly arranged into an incredible and flowing orchestral storty-telling medley. Andreas Hedlund has done an absolutely MARVELOUS work! Pure joy! The perilous Castle Section with the sudden aid of Toad's House & Gusty Garden reprieve and the Super Mario Bros Theme blending into the triumphant Level Clear Finale were both very creative and utterly delightful.

Just a small gripe, but I would've listed the composers in reverse order. Of the two composers, the veteran series composer responsible for most of the music in this suite is Koji Kondo. Mahito Yokota has indeed been more involved with the series in recent years and composed most of the Super Mario Galaxy music (except for "Starship Mario" featured here, that was Kondo), but the vast majority of this music was Kondo's.

I am legitimately crying. I'm listening to this on the metro right now and I swear when Gusty Garden Galaxy hit I knew what song it was and I teared up cuz the memories came rushing back and the ending part was so well done. This is why I love music and why I'm going to always pursue it cuz its so powerful. Yeah this was absolutely amazing well done to the director, composer, and obviously every single performer up there they did absolutely amazing.
