aozf05 I think all Mario players agree. It was not very challenging for us veteran players. But I gave it a pass since the game was so fun to play. I have learned that a fun experience is just as good as a challenging one. For example, I have both Donkey Kong Country Returns and Kirby's Return to Dream Land. The former offers a challenging experience while the latter offers a fun experience. And I love them both. Galaxy games don't offer much challenge to us seasoned players, but the game is tons of fun.

In addition to a lot of Nintendo OSTs (SMG 1 & 2, Fire Emblem Awakening, Kid Icarus & the like), there's a fuckton of incredible varied game music from games like Journey, Kiseki series, Shatter, Super Meat Boy, The World Ends With You, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep & Dream Drop Distance, Ar Tonelico 3, Rayman Origins & Legends, Ys series, Assassin's Creed, Last of Us, Guacamelee, Starbound, Hotline Miami, The Witcher 2, Remember Me, Tearaway, Ni No Kuni, to name but a few of the best in recent years. I mean, really, to make such silly claims you must either be very willfully ignorant or have your head so far up your own ass that you can't know any better. You insult all VG composers around the world with such ignorant drivel.

Petteri Kaakinen Golden age of video game music? Really? You must be deaf or a gullible idiot. Today's video game soundtracks pale in comparison to the old days. One of the reasons is because they want to make it sound like Hollywood movies' soundtracks which takes away a lot of creativity. I know there are several that do make original-sounding soundtracks, and kudos to them. But there are not that many and sadly they don't get recognized. Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, God of War, Fallout, Battlefield, Grad Theft Auto, Gears of War. All guilty of lack of originality as far as soundtrack is concerned. Those soundtracks might be great, but don't get fooled by the great compositions out there when they are not that original. They just take the easy way out and make it sound like a movie.

Im probably one of the only people in the world to have an original super Mario galaxy save file that says 2020 on it! (No not the switch version). Please Nintendo. Stay true to what you are. This is a really awesome rendition of the music. It does sound like it's telling the whole story of the game. Owhen they're playing Good Egg Galaxy at 2:57 and they get to the part where they're supposed to have the rising action chord progression, and then the joyful climax like I wish they had used the part from the game. But maybe they just had to do it that way to make it easier to transition to the next part of the music where they play Battlerock Galaxy. But I still think it could've been done however.
