To clarify something mentioned in the video, the Mario losing all his health and respawning thing has nothing to do with the Toad. There's a kill plane underneath Delphino Plaza that will automatically kill Mario if he stays grounded for too long. That's why the clip shows Mario jumping over to the Toad rather than running, as that's the only way to traverse the under area without instantly dying. When you stop to talk to the Toad you remain grounded and are killed by the plane, but because you still have a dialogue text box open the game won't complete the death animation/respawn until you've closed it.

@Howitchewstofeel5gum4 жыл бұрын
@@tekgeekster Disagree, I really think the controls and camera have gotten progressively better with each entry in the mainline series. Moving around is fun in SM64 when you have a big open space, but when things get tricky and you have to be precise, like in Tick Tock Clock for example, things can get really frustrating. And I don't have to get used to it and you don't have to explain to me how to think of the game, I've been playing it for 23 years ;) It was a revelation back then and it's still really impressive as Nintendo's first attempt at a 3D platformer, but it's really showing its age now. @@ireplytoeverything3122 Probably because it's so unique compared to the rest of the 3D Mario games. The setting, style and gameplay is just fun and memorable to me. (Sunshine was also my first Gamecube game.)

The Hover Nozzle made the game 'too easy'? This game is impossible to complete without it. It suffers from levels having platforms that are too tall and gaps that are too wide.

23 seconds ago? Also this is my first video game I’ve ever played over a decade and a half ago and it’s still one of my favorite games of all time! Glad to see this and can’t wait to play it again on Switch!

There’s a test stage in Super Mario Sunshine. The soccer ball can be found in this test room, and the music is the secret stage theme. And all signs and characters you interact with say “!!!!ERROR! Message could not be loaded”

I find it interesting that this game could of been very different especially when there was evidence of there being a train station to get around the island. It could of been a interesting idea but they gave it to link instead

Fun fact: Kinopio is Toad's name in Japanese! Idk why the narrator didn't mention this, unless he just didn't know. In addition, that is not how you say sunglasses in Japanese. They simply combined the English word "sun" and the Japanese word for glasses which is "megane". "Sungurasu" is one way to say "sunglasses" in Japanese and is them trying to say that word as closely as possible within the confines of their language. Also, you don't say the letter t in Charles Marinet's name. It's a French last name fyi.

Such a great game. Don't know why the people that don't like it ALWAYS have to mention how much they hate it whenever it's brought up. Grow up and let people enjoy things.
@pepinowhite50144 жыл бұрын
What kind of person would hate this game? Probably someone who grew up with fortnite lol
@lordkaijux52624 жыл бұрын
If they're talking about doing the 100% completion route then some of the "hate" can be a little justified.

There's the janky physics, especially in the pachinko stage. Yeah, it's not worth the hate, but it's still annoying.

I remember when they first started selling Mario Sunshine, I got a Sunshine towel from Toys R' Us and loved that thing for like 8 years, before it was promptly ruined and died forever... R.I.P. SMS Towel, we will never forget you.
