I broke my right Joycon Stick this morning because that fucking camera didn't stop rotating.... I threw it on the ground and the stick popped out.... I actually managed to put all pieces back together but now everything is even more unstable.... I hate Joy Cons! They suck so hard! I would rather buy some third party Cons if the Sticks are better

I just played this level in All Stars and it definitely gave me trouble, but I kinda got the hang of it pretty quickly and beat it. I will say though, it is absolutely evil of the developers to put this precise and difficult level at the end of a Yoshi boat ride that takes like 5 minutes and making you have to do it again every time you game over.

The pachinko and sand bird levels were easy in comparison to this. The journey you have to make to this level was a pain in the ass too.

Sandbird _is_ easy. I really don't get why people have a problem with that episode. Unless of course you're trying to get every blue coin in one run. This on the other hand ist just garbage.

It's parts like this, that make wish for savestates to finally become a staple in every game. Don't like 'em? Don't use 'em! But at least I wouldn't have to bring Yoshi back to that damn Island.

I can’t believe I never thought of walking back. This is the first time I’m playing the game and I thought the warp pipe at the end would take you back to the start.I honestly couldn’t regret that more. What a beginner’s trap! Lol, this is NES levels of bullshit. Thanks for the tip, btw. You saved me that many more hours of frustration.

I just beat it first try today after failing 8 times yesterday and BOY was I relieved. I got all red coins apart from the one where you have to jump near the end and my lilypad sunk so I lucked by perfectly landing on the ledge, angling myself for a minute towards the coin and perfectly landing on the opposite edge after grabbing the coin. My heart was beating so fast and so hard that I paused and tried to cool down for 15 minutes before carefully rotating and following alongside the ledge to get on to the platform to grab that last red coin. What I couldn't do 15 years ago finally happened.

i didn’t even think of going back to the lily pad, but i’d get to the end with as many coins as i could get and walk to the end while using hover to get the rest of the coins. this is such a brutal level but completing it is SUCH a relief 😭

You can also just take Yoshi into the storm drain closest to the big brown pillar by doing a ground pound with Yoshi then walking back about 5 m to get a good running jump ready and then do a running jump outside of the storm drain and immediately spin your left joy con to transition Yoshi into a spin jump as he’s in mid air and then from there you’ll just perfectly land on the brown pillar and take the third boat

for good reason, levels like chuckster, this,pachinko , corona mountain arent difficult because they challenge your platforming skills, they are clunky and have artificial difficulty, relying on vehicles with bad controls and clunky game mechanics.

This was the last shine sprite I needed before bowser today. I managed to ride the leaf down the river nabbing 6 of the coins and sweating in anxiety trying to walk back and hover to get the last coin. Then walking back to the end and claiming the shine sprite.

I don’t know how people can think the pachinko machine was easier than this. 🤷‍♂️ That level was HELL. And tbh, that might’ve partially been my fault. I went into it with the rocket nozzle... that means no hovering... oops. And I didn’t want to give up so I spent about two hours attempting it before I succeeded. This level just wasn’t that difficult in comparison. Sure it was a little challenging, but it was completely fair. Each time I missed a coin I would just make sure to grab the 1-up mushroom and then commit suicide to retry. And it goes by fast, I don’t think I took more than ten minutes before I did it. And the journey itself wasn’t that bad either, you can skip one of the three boats with the underground pipes. Also, no chance in hell I would even try to walk in that narrow path to cheese the level. I’m as clumsy in real life as I am when it comes to making Mario walk a straight line.

3d Mario games are about thinking outside the box and using your environment to your advantage. The developers WANT YOU to think and try out every possible action you can do with Mario and his surroundings. Everything in Mario (unless specifically programmed not to) respawns in Mario 3d games. If you leave and come back or just wait a while the object will respawn. For example in Mario galaxy you have to collect 100 purple coins while standing on a moving platform, there’s a portion in the level where you have to get off and make it back in time...however, if you don’t make it back and just wait there another platform will come by. The developers make you think that if you don’t make it first time round then you messed up, but that’s not the case.
