I think with the drill, you should be able to pass walls made of hard and brick blocks, but not ground blocks

Green Bloomps contain coins that give you the coin when jump on first. During the Wonder flower the big version don't pop. So maybe when in embiggened mode the deflate doesn't happen?

I think to make the drill more polished it should only be able to dig under bricks (and other similar blocks like ice) in Mario Wonder you can’t always dig under normal ground tiles.

Maybe to make it more faithful to the NES he could give it a checkerboard patern like they did with old games, the snes styles could have it be transparent as the snes could do it just some background limitations though.

Incredible work Smashy!!!! I love all the love and work you're putting on this. A suggestion would be to refine the ghost movement to be more fluid. Instead of a precise move when you press right, make it accelerate and deaccelerate to make the player feel that it's floating. Keep going!!! This project is insane!

The pole block actually works on a timer and can snake in multiple directions… though it’d be cool to still keep your version as an alternative, since both have their uses! Maybe make yours green or yellow to contrast the purple of the official one?

Weird that you didn't go for enemies that could actually benefit the game but are less flashy. Like the snails, which act like a combo of spike top and a normal koopa. The missile meg is a speedy, flying buzzy beetle, and the little bambo guys could help program goomba stacks.

2:01 i think you should add it just because it's not normally possible to ground pound in smb1. in smm2 you can only ground pound in the smb1 style if you have a big shoe, so another powerup that gives that ability would be cool.

ITEM IDEA: The Tree-stump. It’s like a semi solid but you can’t go through it. When clicking on the item, you can make it mossy or you can make it prickly to prevent Mario from touching the sides of it. You can change it’s length and width. It would be a very useful tool especially in forest levels. That’s my idea.

I'm late to comment, but 2:01 You can already ground pound in the SMB1 theme using the dry bones shell, big boots, and Link suit. I think it would only make sense to also add ground pound functionality to the drill suit.
