When I was young my mom bought me a SNES with a copy of Super Mario World a from a thrift store. I grew up in a very strict household. I set it up at my house and played it that night for a couple of minutes. I woke up the day afterward and found out that my mom threw away the SNES and Super Mario World. She said it was "bad". Years later, I finished Super Mario World on the Switch SNES app, and felt as I finally found the missing puzzle piece. edit: well im here years later. what my mother did wasnt great, but ive grown to forgive her. she is not the woman she once was. she now sees how she raised me and my siblings was incorrect. I now love and cherish my mother with all my heart. I now see it wasn't her fault since her own father deprived of lifes simplest treasures. we must forgive others, especially your own family. This makes me think back to 2019. The pre Covid era, as cliche and stupid as that sounds it’s the truth. Thinking back to that time makes me realize a lot of things. I took a lot of the little things in life for granted. I never truly realized what I had until Covid hit. I had a girlfriend that loved me for who I was and not just for how I looked, friends who cared so much about me, a path to a great success in life, and a loving family. Covid came around and I haven’t met one of my friends on Discord who i’ve wanted to meet for over 2 years, me and my girlfriend split up, some friends hardly ever talk to me anymore, Im struggling a ton in school and I just wish for this year to be over already. There’s SO much other stuff I could talk about but i’d rather not talk about all of it. The main point is... If this pandemic has ever taught me one thing, it is to NEVER EVER take the little things in life for granted. You will regret it later in life. Edit: Thank you all so much! It means a ton to me. Life’s been getting better. My friend that I wanted to meet on discord moved out of state so I’m gonna have to wait awhile to see her, it’ll suck but I’m about to get my license here soon! My girlfriend and I are back together, school is going a lot better for me too and hopefully life will get better from here on out! 2nd edit: Came to a realization that I was being manipulated and abused. In another bad place but life will pick itself back up soon enough. Best of luck to all!
