I don't do a lot of convenience foods, but I don't judge people who do. For me, it all comes down to meal planning. I plan for the whole month, but shop weekly. I have been doing a pantry freezer clean out since xmas, so things have started to get a little more creative. I plan to do crock pot or similar dishes on our busiest nights, prep all my produce and such on the weekends, and it helps us stay away from a lot of ore packaged foods and restaurants. I certainly don't cook from scratch all the time, though!

Great haul! My last large Sams haul was the end of September. I definitely need to do a stock up haul. Im 45 minutes one way from our Sams. Nothing wrong with having quick foods on hand! Its a life saver! If it keeps you out of a drive thru then thats a win!

I loved the video :). The only way I can stop myself from convenience food is to make versions of it at home and freeze them, like chicken fingers and things like that. I also cook rice and hard boil eggs on my days off so that I can use those to make quick meals. It helps me if I cut up my veggies and fruit right when I get home and then I just freeze what I don’t use.

Hi Treena!! I agree, Sam's pick up is amazing!! I don't have a video yet, but maybe I will work on that in the future. I just add the carcasses, onion, celery, carrots, garlic, salt, pepper, and lots of water to the crockpot and cook on low for many hours. Hope that helps!

Real life and that is what the broom is for 🤣. One of the reasons we adore you. Can't wait to see the closet before and after. You did great! So funny since we didn't need hardly anything this week (spent $29 at Fry's/Kroger and that was because of a pizza sale for 4 for $10 and a $2 Catalina for anything next trip) and here you are with a huge haul 😀 - which lasts you several months. Hubby always says we won't go hungry (freezers full of meat). Only 2 of us so we don't have a Sam's club card. I think you do great. When I worked 40 or more hours a week we did quite a bit of "easy" food. Some nights hubby had to shove something in the oven if I had an event I had to attend (middle management at a university). I avoid connivence foods by doing lots of from scratch batch cooking. I make 10 lbs of chicken nuggets at a time flash freeze then bake when we want them. Same with chicken tenders. We make pizza dough in our bread machine then freeze it for easy pizza nights. I’m going to experiment with making our own frozen pizzas. I do lots of instant pot chicken then freeze for later.

I woke at Sam’s and folks start filling pick up orders at about 6am and putting them in a holding area. I don’t work that department so I don’t know all the ends and outs, I just know they start filling them early. Just wondering, why do you place a pick up order when you go inside the store any way?

Interesting! Thanks for letting know that :) I was so impressed with our store! I go inside to grab the few things they won’t let me order through pick up. The bacon, leggings, fresh chicken breasts, rotisserie chickens, and berries :)

I hate when they make you go in club for certain items that we know they could actually put in our regular grocery pick up orders they do that to make you come in and hopefully buy more things I think the only thing they should not let you buy for pick up as things like alcohol and things like that so that sucks but great video great Hall
