Another great video Teacher T. It really shows why touring Thailand on a bike is such a great experience.

Love the video and thank you for letting us join you in the tour. What stunning scenery and the roads appear to be in an excellent condition. You are touring in the best manner for motorcycling. Shorter run, plenty of breaks and bike well set up for comfort. I'm looking forward to the series.

My daughter backpacked through Thailand and SE Asia in 2002. I imagine it has changed a great deal in 22 years. I have shared this video with her. I'm guessing Mrs T is a patient lady :-)

Myself and Mrs T have been married for 20 years, and so yes, she is very patient. And yes Thailand has modernised very quickly over the last 20 years, but still retains the charm and friendly culture. Thanks for watching and sharing. 🙏🙏

A good point about staying off the highways as they are packed with trucks and full of potholes. I find the same thing in Prachinburi Province, but the quiet country roads are indeed motorcycling heaven. 👍👍

You are both very kind taking us along with you but I'm concerned - a week ago there was a horrific petrol fire after a motorcycle accident on YT which truly was devastating. Please please get off the bike when refuelling, you have no second chance especially with a 3rd person is in charge of the nozzle! Mrs T, tell him off big style and have a super holiday?

I love these sort of touring videos and can't wait for the rest of the series. It looks like the bike is perfect for those sort of roads. I am thinking of getting a Super Meteor next Spring and I will be interested to see what you think of the bike, by the end of the tour. Do you always ride with the headlight on main beam? 🤔
@Teacher-T-ThailandКүн бұрын
Thank you. It’s perfect now, but it has been a hurdle to make it so. Yes, I always travel with high beam on, to try and stop cars pulling out at junctions in front of me. Cars here naturally assume all bikes are small and travel at low speeds. Seeing a bright light indicates a bidder bike 🙏
@davericketts9101Күн бұрын
@@Teacher-T-Thailand Thanks Teacher T. I have seen other videos where riders use main beam and, looking at the results of some of the driving shown in this video, I get it 👍.

Hi Teacher T & Mrs T. Thanks for letting us join your wonderful Journey. I had a similar problem but not on my RE. The yellow engine light came on and I was told it was okay to carry on but stop if it turned to red. My fault was the battery needed replacing but I’m guessing yours was down to weight but I’m guessing. See you in the next vlogg. Ride safe.😊

Great video. You've got me contemplating switching out my RE hard saddlebags for those Trip Machine ones. The hard bags are decent, but require a good bit of work to remove and reinstall. Seeing you slip those bags on and off so quickly is making me Astral Green with envy.

Ha ha, nice. There are many feeling the same way. Especially the hard plastic panniers. They look good, but aren’t that practical. Next week Trip Machine will give me a 10% discount code for my subscribers. Sadly it will only last for a couple of weeks. 🙏

@Teacher-T-Thailand I may actually be able to take advantage of that discount, I've been getting a good bit of OT at work. So thanks. One question for you if you have the time. I'm surprised by the amount of signage in English at the stores there. Is that common throughout the county?

Hi, Beautiful country and beautiful journey. During a 7,000 km trip through south-east Europe this summer on my SM 650, I also had a problem with the engine mgt. light. Because I was asking myself the same questions as you, whether I could just carry on driving, I contacted RE support. To paraphrase Shakespeare: Much ado about nothing, because after several emails back and forth, I ended up just as smart as before. However, after the bike had been parked overnight, the engine mgt. light was off the next morning and has not come back on since. So it seems to have been just an indication that something was wrong, but it sorted itself out. Have a safe journey, and thanks for the videos.

7K. That’s pretty hardcore. I hope you had some upgraded rear suspension and seats 👌Mine went out the next day own it’s own 😂🙏
@willi_zwo3 күн бұрын
@@Teacher-T-Thailand It was hardcore, indeed, because the bike was in its standard configuration. The bottom grumbled, but the heart rejoiced. The seat and rear suspension upgrades followed the trip as a consequence, as well as other improvements.

Greetings Teacher T from Hertfordshire. During this summer my grandson and I rode to Southend on Sea cruised around a bit and came home. That day we did around 100 miles without any problems with my Super Meteor 650. As I left my daughter's damn if my bike would start! The engine malfunction light was on. So sad stand up, clutch in and while in neutral I turned her on and off four times. Each time the fuel pump engaged but the malfunction light stayed on. Then I pressed the started and she came to life? Carefully I rode her home, no backfiring etc just the usual smooth ride. Monday I booked my bike into my bike shop for a dinostic test. But that wasn't until the Wednesday, and as I had places to be I continued riding. In the workshop the mechanic came out. Have I had any starting problems he asked? No I replied not since Saturday evening I said again. Any backfiring he enquired? No nothing in fact I've been riding her just fine holding 70mph, why, I asked? Turns out their dinostic matching had shown unknown error so he cleared it and ran the dinostic again. But no fault was shown. £40 I was charged for that. And the following week my grandson and I went to Falmouth in Cornwell. That light never came back on? So perhaps by turning her on and off four times without trying to start it partly cleared whatever was giving the CPU a senior moment? Love the views of Thailand your showing, but any chance of see more please! Safe cruising you two 🤘😊...
