Classic 650 does not look like Classic 350. It is more like Shotgun. Nonetheless, it is definitely very beautiful. They should distinguish Shotgun, Classic 650 and Super Meteor in the future versions.

My thoughts exactly with the new Classic 650. Wires are so clean! And, it has "Royal enfield' on the brake caliper instead of Bybre, not sure what to feel about that. But that bike hides any cost cutting consideration it came with "extremely" well. The only thing I can see is that the footpeg subframe for pillion is welded on, and it stands out like a bit of an eyesore on a single seat bike.

You mirror my thoughts as an SM650 user. Loads of talk about the weight and suspension. But once you sit on it and take off, everything melts away. If you look at the spec sheet and just listen to reviewers you'll never get the full picture. Always take a test drive. It also depends which bike you're coming from. I've come to it from the CL500 and the Avenger so feels familiar while being more refined and premium. Funny when people talk about rpm meters and speed wrt a cruiser. It is also ver manageable and agile for its weight esp. because it keeps the weight down low. I think the owner must have removed the heel shifter since all bikes in India come with a heel-toe setup stock.

If you like super meteor then you are gonna love shotgun. Try it and your experience will be delightful. It has cruiser body will sporty roadster position. And suspension of shotguns are now being use in bear and classic 650 as they are better then SM650

Abhinav while testing 350 meteor u removed big डब्बा which connect 2 xaust pipes underneath engine. Has it affected performance? I 2 thinking of removing that heavy box and fit kompani procured pipe.

The stock one comes with a heel-toe shifter. Probably as this one uses the Shotgun brake and gear levers it doesn't have that.

The rider footpegs should never go any more forward from neutral on any bikes in India. The forward placement which is the conventional cruiser style is known to be relaxing but it only works if you have good roads...like extremely good roads, in India riding with forward placed setting is gonna srew up your spine because all the force from the road is gonna go directly to your spine rather than your legs absorbing it, also it reduces the agility of the bike. We Indians are always playing squid game on road because of the potholes this bike is not built for that. RE made this bike definitely not with Indian consumer in mind. I don't know why they did that when their biggest market is India. Even the honda rebel which we don't have in India has neutral set footpegs.

It’s good for me, I commute daily only on the highway and flyovers daily 30 kms one way. I don’t get any bumper to bumper traffic or broken roads, only 4 lane and 6 lane roads

Also yes classic 650 is hands down win in looks but it is actually a downgrade to shotgun and super meteor 650 in terms of equipments as well more heavier then super meteor

RE messed up the instrument cluster real bad. It's terrible. Ruins the rider's view of the otherwise beautiful machine. It should have been centrally mounted or at least symmetrical in some way.
