Super Nice 1983 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 350 V8, from Country Classic Cars

We thought you might like a look at this very clean and mostly original 1983 Monte Carlo. The only change from stock is the 350 crate engine under the hood. This car has been extremely well cared for over the years and it shows. Thanks for taking a look!

Great car Jeff ! This is when Chevy still made good quality cars. I had Oldsmobiles back then - always had 350' s with 4bbl. carbs. Loved those rocket motors ! Also had an 84 Chevy caprice with the 305 4bbl. I couldn't kill that car ! The rust did the body in ,though ! Love the color on this one - thanks!

I had a 78 with a built 400 & Ostrige skin interior... 3.55 12 bolt 33 spline axles... No squeaks or rattles.. I like the color on that car...Very nice

These all looked alike from 81 to 86! I had two 81's and an 84, plus I had four 78's and three 79'S, Not all at once but at one point I had 5 V8 Monte Carlo's licensed and insured at one time! I had my son and two stepdaughters in 78 Monte Carlo's and my wife in an 84 and I had an 81! I was smart though ,I had two parts cars for the 78's that I gave the kids! Good thing too! My son took his airborne into a tree! We had to pull the frame and put a left 3/4 front clip on it(Easier to put a whole clip on it) Then one of the step daughters rear ended a truck taking the whole right front 3/4 off of hers about a week later! (again easier to do the whole clip) then shortly after the other daughter took the right front fender, and door out on hers It was a busy month! Lucky I had parts cars waiting and a body shop with equipment to fix them! After each one of them wrecked one time the drove them for three years and couldn't kill them! My wife and I had the 81 and 84 but some guy offered me a bunch of money for my 81 so I sold it and got an 84 Cutlass that needed a front clip and redid it to look like new but it was a V6 and I couldn't stand it! So I sold it and got another rebuildable Cutlass with a 260 and it was so slow I sold it!, I had several more Cutlasses with V6's and resold them all because they were too slow! I finally got an 83 Regal with a really good 307 in it that ran pretty good so I drove that a while! I lost the 84 when my wife left and the 78's her daughters were driving! My track record with Monte Carlo's wasn't good! I lost 4 in divorces! But i have to admit they were awesome cars! Those kids couldn't kill those cars! It's just hard for me to believe how rare these have become! If this has a crate 3350 it has at least 300 horse probably So its probably pretty fast! They're a lot lighter than the 70 Chevelles and Montes so it doesn't take as much power to get them moving! good cars!

My brother had a real nice light blue 81 Monte. Side swiped a mailbox post and messed up the driver side. Oddly enough, he was waiting in traffic during highway construction when a rock slide occurred and finished his car off. At least the insurance paid him more than the car was worth.

Very nice Monte Carlo. I had a '78 Monte Carlo with a 231 Buick V6. That was the first car I bought new. Very reliable but the build quality was not good. Lots of gaps in the body. 305 Chevy gutless? You should drive a 231 Buick V6! Now that was gutless. Thanks for posting Jeff!

My dad use to have a car like this not sure what engine it had he got it non running didn't take much to get it cleaned up and fixed I like the 350 better than the 305

I had an '82 i think it was an '82 anyway other than the like you say gutless 305 it was a very good and dependable car. Can't say too much bad about it.
