1978 Olds Cutlass V8 - Original Survivor

I have a 78 ttop that's black with mint black leather. It was my mom's. It's been sitting for 20 years in her garage. Has a 80s olds 350 rocket and 350 turbo trans. Body and interior are clean and rust free car. Fixing to dump a bunch of money into it and bring it back to life in memory of my mom.

My first car was a '78 Cutlass Supreme, and I couldn't part with it. These are great cars, and like you said, it's hard to come by one that's unmolested. Interesting fact: those taillights are one year only. In '79 they didn't have the Oldsmobile symbol in the center. The front end design was only available from 1978-1979 as in 1980, they switched to 4 headlights.

Beautiful Cutlass Jeff.! I'll bet it's a dog with the 260 though. Makes me miss my 77 Supreme I had. It had the 350, and was very dependable.! No air conditioning, though.! I can't believe they are going for that much now, but it's an Olds, what else can you say.... great looking car - thanks Jeff.

Thanks for sharing your Cutlass! I have had 4 of these cars in the short old style. The car is mint but there is two things that are not original to that exact car. I will let you try and tell me what they are before I tell you. So small and subtle I had to think about it and make sure before I made the comment. Great car and great evening to you.

love the cutlasses, although i prefer the 81 to 87 nose and taillight style to the more flat faced style of this one, i just think they have a sportier look to them, this is still a beautiful car

I believe they were pretty popular...I always try to see if any of our vehicles had any similar parts or if they influenced our models but not that one...Seems cheap for that vehicles history...Cheers Jeff.

Nice cutlass very clean interior & body however has the crappy 260 v-8 with like 120hp super slow and not economical but low mileage a plus and rust free body and orig paint but 17k? Too much realistically a 10k car guys maybye just a couple years ago you could get a clean 72 cutlass with a rocket 350 for 16k so what’s up with these prices? Are people buying? No

Cutlass is America's favorite and best selling car. Usually a V8 is a 307 (305) I know I've owned 3 Olds and miss them dearly. All had the 307 V8 plenty of power for me. This must be a dog that can't get outta it's own way 260 V8? Sounds the size of a 6 cylinder, I don't recall an 8 that size.

It is about the same cubic inches as Chevy's 4.3 six. It might be terrible, but I'd probably swap it immediately if I bought it :)
