I've got a four-year subscription to Supernotes. I'm still deciding if this was a good investment or not. I really like the card metaphor. But it does have a lot of friction, in my experience. One feature I really like that you didn't mention is that you can open all notes associated with the same parent on a noteboard. This is fast and easy. (The part that isn't so fast is that you have to manually assign parents.) You can then easily export all those cards for use in other applications.

The friction was something I felt a bit as well. I’ve been testing out Dynalist and have found its outliner experience to have less friction. The only problem is that it’s not being actively worked on anymore, so the developers can focus on Obsidian.

Check out Reflect. The most friction-less note-taking experience imo.

It’s cute, but it’s not Notion for the same price. They did not even bother to offer even a simple template. It’s a no for me for now.

This app is expensive. Is there any other note taking app that has the date system like super notes. I mean, I just want to get all my notes that I edited on a particular day. If not, then I will create my own app.

Interesting, beautiful, but too complicated. After 15 years of using Evernote and having to move out, I decided to have my notes in a way that, in the long term, I could have them anywhere without depending on the software. I’m using Obsidian now, but it can be whatever tomorrow. So it’s good that I can export from Supernotes, but I have no plans to depending on their software features.

Same criticism for me. E.g. trying to edit the filters for a collection forces you to write it in JSON…

You habe the same problem when using Obsidian as you have when using Supernotes. Only question is whether you want to pay for a better user experience on supernotes or want to go with free obsidian version. Both are exportable to Markdown. One additional benefit of Supernotes is their API, you can access it for free with a supernotes subscription.

I stopped using supernotes as importing a web-import preview was poor and loading up images was not seamless. I like mapped over folder note taking apps that have good image support, so I switched to capacities.

Looks great steep learning curve and complex. Cheers

how is this complex

I'm curious how do the tables on here compare to notion? It is literally the only reason I still have notion. I need tables that allows me to have multiple views and auto functions to clear the view
@yanjae3102 ай бұрын
It's only markdown tables, no "database" tables like Notion. But honestly after switching to supenotes I realized how useless and clunky notion tables really are.

@@yanjae310May I ask how you manage your database on Supernotes? I am a content creator and I loved SuperNotes, but I needed a way to organize my content between platforms and have some analytics… Do they have embeds for Notion db or coda?

The small padding on all the sides of the cards looks poor. Not sure how someone that can design a font can do such mediocre (imo) UI design.
