They really let Marcia slide on the word "Colorful". When you say a form of the word, you only get one chance to get it right. She got two. First she said color, then colored, the said colorful. The judges hesitated, then gave it to her.

YUK!!! What a horrible excuse for a word-based game show. Bad rules, bad format. This is not even close to the real "Password" which started in 1961. I was working Swing and Graveyard shifts when this was on the air, so I never saw it/them new. The person/team that got a correct answer gets to have the first clue for the next word. BOGUS ! The other team/contestant has very little chance to win. Only 3 clues instead of ten from the original "Password". Then, even if nobody got the word correct, it was put up on the board anyway. :-( That is akin to giving your kid dessert if they did not finish the dinner plate. The only good thing about this game show is the host Bert C. didn't YELL in the Celebs ear "YES!!!!" when they got a word correct as A.L. did. Nor did Bert C. insult contestants as did A.L.. Also, Bert C. does not ask the clue word / answer word again from almost all celebs and contestants as A.L. did. A.L. obviously needed a hearing aid but refused to get one. They were available in the 1950's. {[ This particular episode had a good contestant (the male) and John Astin in the alphabet round. Very good. The rest of the episode was spoiled with that mouthy, unattractive, loud woman from the first Bob Newhart program. ugh! How did she ever get called back to be on TV?
