I'm suspect to comment because I must be the only person in the world who likes the original Super Pitfall. But this hack corrected most of its flaws and made the game a much better experience.

Tbh I loved Super Pitfall on NES. Got it in the summer of ‘88. I was 12 years old

It was one of my top favorite NES games! I love the open world aspect of it. I loved just going wherever I wanted and never knowing what I would find. I can’t wait to play this!

I bought it and enjoyed it as well, as it was one of the few games that had true open-world exploration at the time, and many of the difficult, arcane, and annoying parts were no worse than many of the NES games of the era. (Castlevania II, anyone?) Granted, the game didn't age well, but still.

Glad to see this. The same modder also did Goonies 2 Revised, which I hope Nenriki plays. Nesrocks mods improves everything, so many little touches, great stuff.👍🏻

you have no idea how happy it makes me that someone took the poor excuse for a "game" (let alone a sequel to one of the most influential and pioneering series of games) that was Super Pitfall and turned it into something even remotely worth playing. What David Crane managed to do with those two Atari games was incredible and putting the name of that series on the original version of this game was a disgrace to him, his talent, and his previous work on the Atari. And while this hack still doesn't quite live up to those original games, it still gives us a view into an alternate universe where they at least **tried**
