Lucy! What a brilliant demonstration, you have done, such a gorgeous work with these and I would love to see you do more pictures with them. Btw, since all pastels do need to be sprayed when done, what are you using, a workable or finishing fixative? I love everything you do Lucy, I love your work, the way you talk, not just you accent, it’s hard to explain, oh I got it! Hi Niki, they work well on any paper that has a little tooth. They even work well on Amazon print paper. I wouldn't recommend them on smooth paper though. Have fun with them they are so lovely 💖

Just perchased some derwent pastel penciks for a bargain second hand and ive not attempted skin yet but after seing your vid will have to try now. Can i ask do you use a fixative and which one (there are so many to choose from) also can you use pencil over or under? Id love see some more vids with pastel pencils please xx

Yes I use Frisk fixative for the pastels. You can used pencils over the top of the pastels and add more detail in. I will be coming back to my pastels very soon. 🤗💖

Yes, yes, yes…..my faces always look streaky….and the white of the paper shows through…enough so I almost feel like selling everything and not coloring anymore……..
