Ein Super Film , genau wie es früher war, die alten Wolztyn Zeiten, wir waren erst ab den 80iger in Polen dabei aber es war immer noch wie im Film. Menschenauflauf überall und alle freundlich ohne Ende vor allem die Mädels.

My first H-D Super Rally was the 1978 Coln event, down by the riverside. We were almost the first to arrive, soaking wet and very grateful for the huge hot air blower in the party tent - it dried our sleeping bags like airfield "wind socks"! The hosts made us very welcome (including a marching band!) and we were very glad we came. Norbert looks very familiar to me in the old photos, please give him my greetings. Hi, beautiful film, reminds me of the time I drove Harley and Harley's collected. And indeed it was a life fylosofie and enduro sport. From 1966 I drove summer and winter and many international rallies off. The North Cape, Sopje in Yougoslavia or a round of France was nothing. I never forget the Ralley in Berlin, the ride over the East German motorway, camping in a parking lot next to the subway and weird looking VOPO programs. The first years of my WLA 1943 (Liberator), later on my WLC (1953) followed by a Duo-Glide (former Belgian police motorcycle), restored a HD 1931 (with standing dynamo, this engine is stolen), bought my 2nd WLA with sidecar in Poland (Wroclaw) and in 1976 an Electra Glide Liberty edition, later succeeded in 1980 by a 1340cc Electra Glide low seat. Great video. Good documented history of the early days of Harley clubs in europe. If I am not mistaken in minute 8:43 there is a shot of my departed buddy Wilfried Werner from HD Club Berlin. He also attended the rallies in Wolsztyn. He died in a motorcycle accident in Los Angeles in 2010. RIP Willy!

Auf dem Regale halte ich ebenfalls so ein flh. Und in der Garage weisse FLHR(PI). Siebzige, .... das waren die Zeiten in Polen. HD, besser gesagt Motorrad , das war vor allem ein Protestsymbol. MfG an HO ! :-)
