My friend in high school had a 67 2+2 manual hard top. I think it was a 421. He let me drive it a few times. Very impressed with it. How smooth the engine was even taking off in other gears than first. I am a Pontiac enthusiasts, but back then I was into camaros and after high school bought a 69 Z/28. But now I would rather have the 2+2

Looks like N code burgundy and 8 lug aluminum wheels. Such a lucky find. 1989 I found a 67 GTO convertible 4 speed. It was 1 of 56 ram air convertibles that were ordered with the ram air RPO. It was N code burgundy with Rally 1 wheels. It was bone stock.

Sounds beautiful! I remember we had one in Marin (county) it had an amazing white interior. 4 speed, no console. I can’t remember if the carpet was burgundy or black. I remember seeing it at “Safeway” as late as 1979. I used to “Drool “ over that car every time they drove it in to get their groceries. I also can’t remember if it was a 389 or a 400. But she sounded sweet, I think I remember he told me he had put glass packs on it. That sounded so amazing that I put them on my Firebird. I can still hear the sound of mine to this day, even though it’s long gone.

How in Gods name does someone let something like this set outside on dirt for 50 years?! It's one thing to be in a shed or barn, but just on dirt in the wide open... I can't beleive someone hasn't been trying to buy it the last 40 years. It's going to take a cubic ton of money and time to restore this one; and this one deserves to be restored. I would put this up with a similarly optioned Sport Fury, 7 Liter Ford, Impala SS big block, Wildcat, or Starfire, maybe Cutlass. But this is RARE.

Sad thing is that it really needs a 100,000 dollar restoration. After that it's anyone's guess as to the value. One thing for certain there were probably only 10 or 15 of these built with 4 speeds. Back in 69 My Dad had a 69 Catalina with the HO 428 and it could light the tires from the line until you hit 76 mph. When he looked into how many were built with that HO 428 it was something like 1728 cars.

It's a good thing it doesn't have a scissor top, those are a bugger to do. I just hope you can get all the parts it's going to need off the shelf, or through a 'NOS' parts dealer. My Brother-in-Law had an auto upholstery shop in Burton, Michigan and I worked there for a few years, up until he passed on. Many custom car and truck builders had him do their vehicles, the shop's name was Kimball's Auto Trim. For what it's worth, I've subbed, left a thumbs up, and a tap on the bell, I hope to see some of your works too. Thanks for sharing.

Definitely was awsome in its day. That's the good news. The bad news is that it was junked for a reason, the full size GM cars in the mid 60's were notorious for their box frames trapping water & rusting out prematurely, and finding replacement body & interior parts for a rare car like this will be very difficult if not impossible. Parked outdoors over dirt and without protection of a top would have further accelerated rust on the frame, floor pans, trunk floor, and inner rear wheel wells. Obviously a proper restoration would cost a fortune if could even find anyone willing to take on such a difficult & time consuming project.

Only 280 convertible 2+2's were built in 1967. 261 were ordered with the High Output engine and only 144 H.O. cars were equipped with the 4 speed. Other added options could make it even more rare!! Ya, it's pretty rare. I'd say it deserves a concourse resto and brought back to its original condition. Anything less would be a travesty! It could potentially be a six figure car.
