The guys at Retro Classic Car get a lot of old American metal through their doors, but they say it has been over a decade since they have seen an "S Code" Mustang. What does that mean? Well, this car is the most powerful Mustang available in the 67 Model year - equipped with a 390 cubic inch (6.4L) big block engine - and this car is an excellent example of a well used vehicle which would make either a great drivable classic, or a good restoration project.

Simple old skool cars or JDM vehicles are where its at. The newer cars are all copy and paste, you could debadge them all and wouldn't be able to tell who made what. Not sure if its rules and regs that have made it this way or designers have gotten lazy

I very much like this mini-series and hope you are doing more like this in the future. Those classic cars need to be enjoyed while they are still around. Too many people these days don't appreciate these classics and therefore they risk becoming extinct entirely - which would be an utter shame.

by far the most popular color for that vintage of mustang. in fact, i've rarely seen any that are NOT that color. never understood the attraction of the 'landau' top either. it's said that it makes the car look like a convertible. but that doesn't make sense to me either. whatever...

As someone in the market for a late 60s American car this had caught my eye. Seemed a bit overpriced and your description has confirmed that imo. Also, mis matched tyres on a car is always a bugbear of mine, but when you've got the name of the tyre emblazoned on the side wall in big white lettering it's unforgivable!

Left hand drive (wrong hand drive) in the UK without a mirror on the right? That must have been interesting at times.
@Scrubworks
@Scrubworks 3 жыл бұрын
I have a Mustang in the UK very similar to this (66 coupe, almost exactly the same shape), and honestly the mirrors are next to useless, but there is so much glass that visibility is actually excellent. The only time the wheel being on the wrong side is a pain is when I go to the drive-through or enter a multi-story.

The 68' bullet mustang was a fastback with a 289 ci and a 4 speed manual probably ford's best engine overall .The 289 ci was also put in the ac cobras which won the most races in the day than the 427 ci cobras . The 289 was also used in the sunbeam tiger as well . Why don't test and review a classic chrysler mopar from 1962 -65' or like a 1967- 69' barracuda fastback .

British arrogance much? Good grief. You neither designed nor built them. You're unwilling to recognize that these American cars were built for purpose as well, and successfully. And if you can't appreciate the luxury of 3-400 hp 50 years ago, as well as size and comfort not strangled by laws, I'm sad for you.

James England indeed. Just as I wouldn’t want to be throwing a big 60s muscle car down a twisty English road, I wouldn’t want to be driving down Route 66 in the small non-aircon fitted little sports cars we built. The cars were built to suit the markets they were aimed at.

@MrCarGuy

@@ChuckFickens1972 Aaaand I could easily just discredit you by saying the same. The US has the highest healthcare standard, quality, and innovation in the world and it is _only_ possible because of its less-socialized and more open status. Of course, that also means there are some really terrible places: But, most of them are way above global standards because that's what happens with the power of choice in an economy. The saddest part of this is you are willingly spreading propaganda for universal healthcare. Who compelled you to do that? Riiiight...
