Oh the beach and Daytona just looked amazing! I love love the water, however, I live in Saskatchewan and it's a very land locked province, so the beach/ocean is very far away from us! We hope to take our kids to the ocean very soon, as our 4 year old daughter just saw Tim in the ocean and exclaimed " I need to be doing that too"! Ha ha!

When the fruit on the cactus turns a dark purple your can eat them, you just have to skin them and take the cactus thorns out, they kind of taste like banana/strawberry/kiwi they are pretty good and makes good jelly

You can eat both the green and pink prickly pears. They are sweet. I eat them when I want to cool down because they are refreshing also.

You can eat the prickly pear cactus. The big green part can be eaten. In Mexico they call it nopalitos. Skin and cook it for a taco.

the water is so nice in Florida! where I'm at in Cali the waves crash barely 20 feet out and are taller than me, you can't see even a few inches under the water due to how muddy it is

You can eat the fruit or stripped leaves of the prickly pear. Lived in Texas my whole life but never ate any. Pulled spines out of myself and many family members. My husband fell in one once and my Dad had to help him de-prickle his backside. I wasn't there! anyway, hubs says the fruit is sweet but earthy tasting. Farmer's markets have them a lot.

We have a guy by my university who is amazing at sign twirling! Whenever we stop at his red light, we open our window and blast music he will jam to it with his cardboard sign for Little Cesars! He apparently won a national sign twirling contest? So those are a thing I guess haha. Also I will agree with Jenn- I'm terrified of bridges and heights and stuff. I know they're engineered to be safe, but the thought of being over deep water and falling in is what scares me xP

You can actually eat any part of cactus just make sure u remove the thorns or whatever u call them lol. Cut them up and cook them It's a Mexican thing and their super good.

Hey Tim and Jen, be sure next time to go to the Lighthouse for the tour and climb (they also do full moon events)! Also, there are 2 dog parks if you want to take your "Kids!" I like the one on the New Smyrna Beach side best. Year pass used to be around $20.00. Not sure what it is now. Parking is VERY limited! Hope to see you guys at EPCOT (I work there)! Ciao!

Jen I know your pain I've been on that bridge and I was screaming the whole time but we were just going to the hotel so we could go to the beach but I still got scared and then it happened we are all going back and we were on the bridge and I was scared to death screaming my lungs out screaming my eyes out... so scared
