This has gotta be one of the most badass upgrade sequences for an OG unit! The Ashe barely surviving, casting off its cape and the patchwork spare parts. Ing's eyes going completely blank... Then yelling as his eyes recover their color as he just straight up calls forth the MK-X Parts to the Ashe!? ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! Now THIS is truly an awesome homage to the entire legacy of the Vanishing Trooper!

You know, I've never really been able to get any clear cut info on it, so I have to ask. What exactly IS the GIEM System?

Basically the system connects the pilot to a unit equipped with the system allowing for smoother control and also draws out the pilots latent combat abilities and reflexes, however as shown with Tempest and Tenzan this also has an effect of melting (figurative) the pilots brain causing them to devolve into a berserker state, Shine just barely avoided this fate back in OG1, the system would be overhauled in OG2 and tuned to several machines, the Bergermir's used by the Machinery Children and the Rapiéçage piloted by Aurum 1 (Ouka Nagisa) theough she still needed an insane amount of mental conditioning to use the system and even if she survived the raid on the Earth Cradle her days were numbered due to the systems effects on her body.
