The Fire Dragon always seemed out of place to me. All of the other attacks are at least vaguely technological, but here, kohta uses a magic incantation to summon a dragon made of fire. Wut?

I think they added it as an attack because they established that one of Fighter Roar's inherent superpowers is that he can just summon a giant fire dragon. It showed up for the first time in 2nd OGs, which was also the game where it was the best attack Roar had for the couple of stages it was just him riding on a jetboard.

Super Robot Wars OG is basically a alternate universe that makes a crossover with all original characters that are protagonists or appears in other games from bampresto. So... Great Battle, Super Hero Sakussen (Ingram is from there), Hero Senki (Gilliam - Thanks @Megaman Jake for correcting me!), and the original characters from Super Robot Wars (Not the OG, but the ones with lincesed franchises - For example: Kusuha and Bullet was the protagonists from one of these games. Same for Kyosuke), are re-used in this alternate universe. They never meet the ones of Licenced Franchises (Mazinger, Gundam etc). And makes a new story just with them.

@@PeuRo Gilliam is actually the same from the mainline games, his thing is that it's the same character in every game, no alternate versions, and he goes hopping from universe to universe (and may or may not be the cause behind all the gespents and huckbeins in those universes). And I think that Fighter Roar is the same from his games, but I'm not sure of that.

Deeman Dude It's not Alkaizer. That's "Fighter Roar" from the Compatible Kaiser series. The second guy who says the dimensional gate is open is the first Fighter Roar from the original game with his body destroyed, the current one is Kohta Azuma, his successor.

No, it doesn't. It's from The Great Battle IV on SNES, in 1994. Same Compatible Kaiser, Fighters Roar & same theme. Saga Frontier is from 1997, it's unrelated. ( Beside, this game is about characters from the Bandai Namco & Banpresto universe, they don't have the rights to use other's company characters. )
