It's almost impossible to activate Pseudo Evo through normal means as you need 170 Focus/Will/Morale and a 90% Synchro rate .Easier while Ace because of the increased rate of synchro when deployed. While it isn't as flashy as the Mazin folks, it has the fire power.

The only issue I have with the Rebuild versions of the Evangelions is the lack of attacks such as the katana for Unit-01, the dance combination for Unit-01 and Unit-02 along with the N2 mine for Unit-00. Plus Unit-00's blue colour scheme I think suits it better. However, this is definitely the best Unit-01 from the Rebuilds has looked so far, will definitely make use of this when my copy arrives :)

The ability to use Awakened Eva 01 was a huge plus for this game. Honestly when Rebuild is done well i prefer it to the series. Getting more Eva's plus attacks like The Beast mode make up for some of the extras that the series has. Plus I'm a fan of Mari and the more hot blooded versions of Asuka and Shinji.

There's a secret Scenario after 39 called "Come The Messenger" where you get Evangelion 13 as an optional swap for Evangelion 01, and you can switch between them in the Hangar. At this time, shinji should have 'drive' in his spirit pool, and it would help increase his morale. At the skill program before going to scenarios, you need to increase his Morale limit so you need to give Shinji 'Break Morale Limit' at the highest level (+3) and you need to give him the 'Fighter's spirit' skill to have his morale above 110 at the start of every battle to make things easier. With morale requiring upgrades for any mech, you need to have SP Regen skill just for facing bosses or any powerparts skill that constantly increases morale every turn (maybe Diva's ring?), also, have Eva kill grunts more to increase the synchro rate, then you'll get the Pseudo-evol state. To be honest, Koji is easier to do. Just increase morale to 150 and mazinger zero is good to go. But Shinji's upgrades are worth it especially once you get his ace bonus.

To be honest, enemy Eva-01 wouldn't be a problem. Just gang up on it and take it down like every other boss in the game. Many super robot bosses are tougher than Evangelion anyway. There are only two real reasons you don't want Eva-01 going berserk: First, it's a massive waste of time to take it down. Second, you may have a hang over from other SRPGs and never want to let any unit die, ever.

Super. The Eva units archetypally have high HP and durability but terrible evasion rates. They also have a lot of EN for the AT-Field, which cancels almost any attack that deals less than 3000 or more damages depending on the pilot's Synchro Rate. Despite having lower armors compared to Getters and Mazingers, Eva robots can act like brick walls against less powerful mooks; The more Focus and Synchro the pilots have, the more defensive they get. Even in anime, they are supers. Sure, they use mundane weapons like knives and guns, but the suits are made of supernatural, unknown alien technology that needs an entire laboratory to moderate and supply. Only few of them are produced, and they can only be piloted by the chosen ones. The overall narrative is also harking back to the 70s super robot anime due to its weekly "defend the base" scenarios.

I can't say it did it well, I personally despise the actual show(poor Shinji, he deserved better), but the machines are cool,
