@Chanuk The Magroku Sword. It was gonna be put into the series, but they never found a place for it, especially since near the end they needed to defeat the Angels in more and more esoteric ways. The model of 01 comes with it.

Its on concept arts for Neon Genesis Evangelion. Even if it never made it to TV or manga, they still used concept weapons in SRW. Much like for many other series included (For example, we get Great Zeorymer unit in SRW J, wich was only a concept in original anime)

The OG games are an exception - They are the "Original Generation", and all the pilots and units in it are original, never appearing in their own animes (Aside from the SRW animated series itself). Therefore the liscensing problem doesn't matter. Hope that cleared things up.

I don't know much but I think its a game called Super Robot Wars where mechs from different anime come together to fight in various universes.

When a game this big is made, the producers of the game need to pay the companies who make all the animes. In Japan, Banpresto owns pretty much every Giant Robot franchise. (GAINAX still does EVA, though.) If this game was ported to the US, though, that would change, as many of the series are owned by different localization companies. This makes production values even higher. Add this to the fact that many of the game's mechs have yet to make a stateside appearance, and you got your answer.

Japanese PS2 only, due to the massive liscensing constraints that would come from trying to bring a game that contains Evangelion, Gundam, Mazinger, Getter and many more over.

Very nice on ending that with their sync. attack. I'm guessing you added in the End of Eva videos for the fun of it, but if it does show that that'd be awesome...sadly I haven't gotten around to playing MX.

Another amen here. I think he deserves a little spotlight as a pilot and I was a little excited to watch him get an own in this vid. Seriously, he effortlessly dodges the same attack that nearly killed Asuka and laughs afterward as if to say "You really though that was gonna hit me?" So cool. I watch this multiple times just to see it. I was afraid he'd only get basic attacks due to the anime storyline, but my main concern is how they altered the storyline to include him... Does anyone know?

@Rezindez I think episode ten? It's reallly good. I've always known about the series, but I was young back when it came out. I looked at the episode guide, without looking at the summaries of course, and saw that the last two episodes are in that movie...End of Evangelion? So I can skip the last two episodes in the series and watch that, right?

actually, SRW MX came out for the PSP as well, so you can import it, as the PSP doesn't have any regional coding.

From what I know and guess I'll say no. For a few reasons. Probably the biggest reason is that Touji never really did anything besides go berserk/get infected by an angel. I mean it would be cool of Touji had more than the knife, rifle, pistol, high energy rifle and so forth (I haven't gotten Touji in any of the games...still on playing Alpha on scenario 40 T-T) Oh well atleast we still have Shinji's sword, Asuka's AT Field attack, and I think Rei's N2. (sorry for not using the actual terms =P)

But that's what the movie was about. Rei was the only one besides Shinji that had perfect synchronization with her EVA and Ikari's plan to dominate the world would have succeeded if Shinji didn't get back in his EVA and totally destroy Rei.

it's srw a mix of all mecha anime shows and each story mixes up with other story's and unti's hence what the G gundams were doing there and it aint in english

PSP and PS2. The PSP version is easier, and cheaper, to find. However, there are no animated cutscenes.

I understand, but this game is based on the Japanese Anime "Neon Genesis Evangelion", it's very popular in Japan once, maybe you might want to check it out on wiki. I can see how it is boring if you don't have any understanding of the animation series...
