It also, doesn't work on some of the things you mentioned. There is a melee priority system on each melee weapon. The wave baldes are the worst, while the Oscillator is the only one with dual heavy function. The crew spent about two hours testing the various interactions and the defensive stats on some of these are impressive. However all charged L2 Attacks like this lose to kicks unless timed perfectly. The General chart pre exception is Charged L2 > Light L2 > Kick > Charged L2 Heavy > Light > Kick Exceptions Oscillator has Two Heavy Priority Waveblades are both Light Slicers shield is Light outside of the shielded frames HMMR is backwards (Might need more testing)

ah, my bad, i tested it against a few different weapons and kicks so i just assumed it would work against all of them except the HMMR

@@deathly5140 It's mostly a question of If the enemy charges their attack. I've clipped several who use the light attacks to close in, unaware it wont stun the Ashmead out of its Heavy. I'm honestly surprised the Oscillator got clipped in the video as it tends to stun / break on Light or Heavy swing. [Edit] I suspect this is why you see so much of the laser dagger. the charged heavy of it should interrupt a lot and its basic punish is its light hits.

@@Ghstkng123 I'll dig further into this as soon as I am able but my first post has the tentative breakdown. Kick should has the highest priority but the lowest armor. Oscillator has heavy priority on both attacks. Everything else is standard Uncharged (light) and full charged (heavy) Except these Slicer which has light priority and armor on both hits outside the shield frames. HMMR has high priority on its basic attack but not on its charged plasma toss. It's shield acts like a regular back shield. Last we tested the chainsaw also has two light priorities outside it's charging shielded state which has a lot of armor. Both he moonlight and the redshift have light priority and next to no if any armor on both of their attacks. I hope that helps if not I can put a video together about this. [Edit] mind this was tested against other melee weapons. We haven't tried seeing if there is a regular shooting threshold as most of those weapons won't stun. Id wager the electric status build up would probably stun all of these but we haven't tested that.

Counter bunks like this are very satisfying to pull off and hilarious too. People need to be careful of doing the standard attack of their weapons instead of their charged variants (especially for pulse blade and laser blade LOL)

This was the original use for pilebunkers in AC3. They were equipped to the right arm and called parry blades, and they worked in tandem with energy shields equipped to the left arm. When an opponent would attack with a laserblade, you'd block with shield and parry with pilebunker. Never mind that Fromsoft, in typical style, neglected to explain this in the games or manuals. So, the fans didn't figure this out for a decade. We'd just equip a laserblade to left arm and parry blade to right, and miss with the right one. Lol

it only worked because he was using the double swipe. The microstun of the charge attack would have stopped your pile bunker unless your timing was much more exact. you had that timing on the first strike, but not the other two.

pilebunker incoming melee is how i cheesed a few linx that were predictable in ac4 cause i didn't know how else to land that thing. glad to see its still up to the task, a shame it only gets its omega damage from stagger tho. wouldn't be surprised if chiansaw twin blade and lance get just as good or better results from this strat

I think if its non stagger damage was any higher it would make things pretty hellish for lightweights. But i think giving it even more stagger damage would be fair, given its a high risk high reward type of deal, and sometimes the reward is only taking heavyweights down to a quarter of health.

Ctrl + R will activate assault armor, pulse armor, and pulse protection. Terminal armor will activate its self to stop you from taking fatal damage
