I've been a big fan of Christine since the movie first came out in '83 when I was a kid. I've built that AMT kit, and it goes together really well. As to why it says "Belvedere" on the rear, the mold was originally a '58 Plymouth Belvedere that they re-packaged with the Christine license. Which is pretty cool since in the movie, most of the cars used were Belvederes and Savoys because the actual '58 Fury was kind of rare (also, the '58 Fury was only offered in Buckskin Beige with gold trim, never in Red and White).

Thanks for the information! I have seen the beige and gold color combo before and I prefer that look! Maybe in the future I'll build another kit and replicate that color scheme! Thanks for watching!

Looking forward to this. It is going to be a different challenge but interesting. Ever thought making a completely unique model made from several kits. The challenge would be to guess what the model really is (or is not) The posters look great. Looking forward to the finished product.

If you decide that you want to build a Christine version, Model Car Garage has a great photoetch detail set for them.

The Plymouth is NOT a 1959 or 1957 but a 1958 and the Imperial is a 1958 not a 1957 by grill design. Also trying to convert a 1958 Plymouth to a 1955 DeSoto would be next to impossible due to being completely different. Also take note that the DeSoto used a longer chassis than the Plymouth so it should be interesting to see the final result. I shall wish you the best of luck on your project.

Thanks! I'm not converting it into a 55, I heard that you can use a 52' Chevy to convert it into that. I checked and the length and the Desoto and the Fury are the same lengths, its super weird.

This is a most ambitious project indeed Young Modeler! Though, from what I have seen so far, this is a build for You! The ways of the Hobbyist are with You, Yes. I am looking forward to seeing how You progress!

Wouldnt be the Body of an 57 Chrysler 300 better for this build??
@mightymodelshopcreations9 ай бұрын
Yes it would, but I thought it would've been cheating since it's such an easy conversion. I have a 57 Chrysler 300 in the stash but it's a lowrider version so I'd have to mess with the suspension and I don't like doing that sort of stuff. Thanks for watching!
