Can it also use the standard Baofeng cable and chirp? If not, not a good idea.

Honestly IDK. Some sellers include the cable however, part of the allure is that you don't need it. Thanks for the watch and comment 👍

Yes, I used Chirp to program my H8 2nd Gen. I used the MIRKIT FTDI USB programming cable not the standard Baofeng one, so not sure on that part.

Thanks for the presentation. Interesting idea. $60 is not that cheap. I got 2 uv-5r for $50. But then yeah you need a cable.

Stop promoting Chinese garbage radios... The stuff is trash. You do a big disservice to the ham community. Buy Icom, Yeasu or Kenwood hell even pickup a Motorola .
