I just joined your telegram. You and your videographer always make me laugh. Just got my juki yesterday and got it running today. I had been wanting one and then I think seeing it in your videos (after everywhere else) I finally got one. Sooo happy with it so far. Thanks for brightening the day again. P.S. where in the world are you? At first I thought L.A., then you were talking about euros so I was like… Berlin? Best, Alix

Thanks so much for joining the telegram circle, our telegram channel is super small but hopes to make it more of a regular meeting spot for sewers to engage. Wow, amazing... congratulations on the new juki!!! They are such wonderful machines. Thank YOU for brigthening my day with sharing your comment. Its always nice to hear what my subscribers are doing with the knowledge I share. As for where I am, hahaha... I moved to Italy at the end of 2019 from Toronto, Canada. It was a tough decision as I had a huge beautiful fashion (shared) studio there. But life and love has brought me to Tuscany. Sending you love - thanks for being here!!! 🙏

Where can I buy a parka replacement zipper? Slider and pull are gone and the zipper is apart. I THINK it measures 6 or 7 across

How would I find the special tool you used if I were brave enough to try this process? Would it be at a hardware store or a Home Depot, or is it likely to be at another type of store? You make the process look doable if the tool is available. Thanks for the video.
@LTRLtrend3 жыл бұрын
Yup, I guess I forgot to mention, you can buy this tool easily at a hardware store. They are wire cutters, they come in different sizes, mine were a bit too big but I made it work. And I tried needle-nose pliers and the zipper stoppers were just too strong, so definitely recommend buying some wire cutters to try this! Thanks so much for watching!

is there a hack if you don't have this special tool? great video!
@LTRLtrend2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Hmmm, this "special" tool is kind like wire cutters (like this www.amazon.com/KNIPEX-68-01-200-Cutters/dp/B005EXO6V2) ... you may want to also try some needle-nose pilers? It is harder with pilers tho... because you need something to pinch the piece open (pilers are more of the tool to swish the metal stopper closed). Best fo luck😉

Where do you buy your metal zipper tape?
@LTRLtrend2 жыл бұрын
I buy my zippers in many different places, mostly I buy them at thrift stores (yet, you heard that right... thrifted zippers!) I have bought rolls of zipper tape for $5, but they are definitely hard to come by. My suggestion is to buy metal zippers from your local sewing and supply shop - online zippers are sooooo expensive.
