What you call your "very simple painting" -- is spectacular. By watching, I think I can learn (by practice) how to better build a scene on a card, and define how to create the ground/backgrounds so my little characters aren't just hanging around in the space. Fun to watch and learn, as always.

I think someone is more apt to keep a card that someone took the time to make for them BUT than again I’m a hopeless romantic. The cards are simple but ADORABLE.

I hear what Gayle Robinson (below) is saying about the cards going in the trash after you worked so hard on them, but the same holds true, I think, when you spend so much time reading through cards in the store, making sure you get the perfect one, and then spending $$$ on them because store-bought cards cost so much these days. And... they don't provide the fun or creative journey that making them yourself does. I love making my Holiday and special occasion gifts and I think the family and friends I give/gift them to probably don't throw them in the trash. I guess one can only hope.

I wanted to share that I would send cards to young ones for years from happy summer, congrats, thinking of you etc. And I spoke with one of those young ones who is now in his 20's, he said he has a shoebox full the cards I had sent. He and his brothers saved them. These cards are so special to the recipients. Even if they end in the trash, its ok. The effort, fun, time was well spent. ❤

@@jeannieherrera7888 Amen. Even if only one reached somebody heart like what you said above, then all those efforts are worth it. You. just never know when a gift like this can brighten a bad or sad day, or change somebody's life. I'm going to keep on making and sharing and giving because I think it's really good.

Hey Ms Jill: You are spot on! These are so sweet! What a fun group of stamps to use for Christmas cards and everything in between. I ALWAYS make my Christmas cards more difficult than they need to be!! I spend hours, days, weeks (no lie) die cutting tiny pieces to make scenes for intricate cards! The cards are great but how many people really appreciate them and end up throwing them away (although it's supposed to be the joy in giving, not thinking about them in the trash - hummm). You've given me a whole new perspective on card making! I do believe this year will be different with cute cards for all and a lot less stress for me! What a winner!!! TFS!!!

I understand. I made cards this past Christmas, as usual. Only 40, and they took nearly 60 hours. Stamping, die cutting, popping up on foam tape, putting them together. Then cards for immediate family, only 14. A shaker card for my youngest granddaughter was 2.5 hours alone. I'll be taking another path this year, Gayle Robinson. And I agree wholeheartedly with you, these cards are sweet, fun and very effective.😃🇨🇦

Jill, you are awe-inspiring!! I have never seen one of your cards that I didn't love. I admire your talent and your presentation skills. In this particular video, I appreciate how you have the four card designs and worked all the images into one of the four. Normally, your ink blended backgrounds are my favorite, but in this set, I'm rolling my hat to the "Hope" cards, especially the one with the strip of black cardstock. Brilliant!!

I’ve checked the linked website, and I don’t find detail on the dimensions of the stamps in snowman hugs. Could you provide any for the largest and smallest stamps in that set? Thanks-
@PennyBlackInc2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for your interest, Cynthia! In the Snowman Hugs set, the largest individual stamp (girl hugging snowman) is approximately 4 inches wide x 2.5 inches tall. The smallest image (boy rolling snow ball) is approximately 1.25 inches wide x 1.75 inches tall. Happy stamping!
