Another great tutorial, loose florals are always great. I think these would be great sympathy cards. You could also use them for baby congratulations. What are your thoughts? Beautiful work. Now I want to play and do a background like the one on the right!

Well I really struggled with this one yet it looked so do-able. I struggle with the splatters .. is there a trick or simple way to do them. Also with what sized brush ?? Help!!!

Hi June, I used my size 8 Princeton Neptune which is a fairly soft brush. If you’re using a stiffer brush you may need to water your paint down a wee bit more. Also, I just hold the brush loosely and tap the top of it but you could also hold another brush and one hand and tap the brush with the paint against that brush. Let me know if that helps😊

It’s permanent blue violet (a deep cool purple), permanent red light (an orange colour) and just a tiny amount of Payne’s grey)😊

You say you have to hurry because you're using cotton paper. But it's exactly the opposite: cotton paper stays moist longer than other paper.

You are right; cotton paper stays wet longer once it’s wet but it absorbs the initial lay down quicker. In this case, it absorbs the dots of colour quicker than non cotton paper, where the water sits on top longer and takes longer to absorb👍
