Darn I was hoping you'd put pinky into slinkys old habitat and leave the pond there for her.. I mean you had pinky before you got the other female monitor out in the back and she's got a huge habitat it's going to be near slinky so why not give pinky a nice big habitat too, plus just think that habitat has Slinky smell all over which will make pinky get used to it and maybe they'll successfully mate

Yeah I also believe that Pinky should have Slinky's old enclosure once he has moved into his kingdom. I wouldn't recommend them to be near each other though, some suggested to give part of the kingdom to Slinky, but if they're constantly near each other they'll get some behavioral issues, especially when mating season comes around. But his old enclosure would be fantastic !!!!

Do these people realize HOW BIG Slinky is ?!?!? I think a larger enclosure would do him well. He's kind of cramped where he is right now. He be able to move around more and probably be less squirrely and LESS likely to try and escape. I think taking the existing framework of what was going to be built for the iguanas is probably the best short-term option for Slinky.

Yeah or they're trying to say that he part of the new enclosure should be Pinky's. But I don't think it's a great idea to put them right next to each other, cause there'll be some behavioral changes, especially during breeding time. It can get dangerous, unpredictable, especially if Slinky's going to be on edge trying to get to her 24/7. You want to keep him calm cool and collective and Pinky too. But I do believe Pinky should get Slinky's old enclosure though! Yeah ppl are giving their 2 cents and they have no idea about what's best for these animals. Kenan knows what he's doing, plus it's his animals, he's the one taking care of them and therefore he should do what he thinks is best. Slinky needs a bigger enclosure, he's way bigger than Pinky and needs more room to roam around. Plus you have to think on 1 task at a time and not go ahead and get another blk dragon like ppl say he promised to get. Laggy still needs to get some extra TLC and attention, so they can build a better bond like he did with Pinky. Pinky at one time also was hesitant to trust Kenan, but he took the time to bond with her off camera and we got to see the good results. 1 task and 1 animal at a time 👍

Hey Kennan I just heard that Christmas night was going to be almost to freezing temps down there... also I have a thought regarding Slinky's new enclosure.. what if you give Slinky 2/3 of the enclosure and set up the final 1/3 for Pinky so she can get used to him being around and she doesn't freak out so much when you try to introduce them. Or give Pinky Slinkys old enclosure

I'd say give Pinky his old enclosure, cause if she's next to him then he'll go crazy when breeding time comes around and it could get dangerous for Kenan to take care and handle Slinky when he's only focused on getting Pinky. You want your lizards calm, cool and collective and that just won't be the case if Pinky is right next to him. He'll be on edge and that's not good. But I'm all for giving Slinky's old enclosure to Pinky 👍

I have two sonoran desert tortoise babies I was given in March, they were only born just before I got them so they aren't even a year old. We have super strict rules about how to keep them because they're endangered in the wild and we have to adopt them but treat them as wild and keep them outdoors if possible, and I have to make a bigger enclosure with a good burrow for when they get bigger. Winter is a hassel, because they brumate (sleep but not hibernation) in winter and here in Arizona it keeps going from super cold below freezing to 70s and 80s like it's spring, so my torts go to sleep but then wake again, so I have to make sure they get food and water, but not too much food or when they sleep the food can rot in their stomach because their metabolsim stops, so I keep weighing them when they wake to make sure they aren't losing water or weight, but it seems like they're doing good. If they do good this year I feeel like next year will be easier, it's just so stressful when they're sooo tiny and it's their very first winter. I've had some before as a child (sadly one died and one escaped) but they were older, never had a yearling tortoise before and never two at once, it's nerve wracking XD

My sulcatas don’t poop in their house, they poop in their sunning spot outside. In my experience if you supplement heat in their house and their body temperature goes over 75 degrees, they will poop inside.

Moonshine, herps are cold blooded. They don’t crap until they raise their body temperature to the point their digestive system starts to becomes active. They don’t poop when it’s cold. I noticed that Kenan used heat lamps on his Sulcatas. In my experience heat lamps create hot spots directly under the lamp which can cause over heating and then pooping inside. Sulcatas are slow movers especially when they are chilled, by the time they figure out that they are basking in a hot spot, they’ll be overheated and poop in their house. I prefer the Osborne Stanfield heated pig blanket with a temperature controller to provide a consistent 75 degree overnight temperature UNDER the tortoise. Yep, they are expensive but what is your exotic worth to you? This is my experience. YMMV.

@@rd4660 I've got 17 years with reptiles I know there cold blooded and sulcatas don't Burmate like other reptiles thus him having to keep them locked up and warm enough to function....quite common too for reptiles that are in burmation to wake to go to the bathroom ...all his stuff is on thermostats or dial fixtures ...I like the pig blankets too I run them on my monitors outside

Loving the idea for Slinky’s new enclosure, especially as thats the area of the Kamp that is prone to flooding which slinky would enjoy. Plus you still have enough room to add on a section for Pinky in years to come as she grows. Would be cool To have all the monitors and croc monitor closer together. This is so cool, Nick! Ask Kevin about them, and either leave them in the tank you moved them to, or return them to the Pond. I have seen several tanks where big fish are kept with very small fish. Having a school of damsels would add a pop of color to the pond. I fid it interesting that you use actual seawater. The Shedd Aquarium used to have special rail cars to ship seawater up from the gulf of Mexico. Love what is going on in pool pond.

I have a few construction suggestions: a. put pinky into slinky enclosure, once u moved slinky to new enclosure. b. put snakes [ not sure about the breed] in the pinky enclosure. c. keep a small mountain like structure in the slinky new enclosure so that he has to climb up to absorb heat from the sun. This will be a form of exercise. note: While deciding the final construction, please keep in mind that u promised us that u will bring 2 black dragon monitor lizard also in future.

I'm sure they'll work it all out and give Skinky the most amazing enclosure EVER !!!! It's a good idea for Pinky to get his enclosure and I'm sure she'll love the space. Yes he did promise a blk dragon, but he'll get it when he's ready for it. He still has a lot of bonding with Laggy to do and I think that should come 1st. He's already spread thin and has a lot of work with all the animals and I think 1 animal to focus on at a time is best. He'll need more time to bond with the blk dragon as well and Laggy still needs some TLC and attention, so she can fully trust Kenan. But no worries I'm sure he'll deliver 👍
