Makes a lot of sense to feed dried/preserved/prepared foods with the outdoor enclosures in Florida. Since some species (live dubia roaches for example) can’t be kept due to the potential for the thriving as an invasive species. I’m so glad they take them!

A lot of monitor keepers are switching to grasshoppers. A gentlemen named Khai Phan with Mangrove Mecca and California Grasshoppers. A little pricey but breeding colonies seem to do well with daily care. The feeding response is awesome. He shipped some to me recently from the CA desert to Oklahoma. USPS left it on my driveway in the sun and none were dead. Way better than crickets, but must be fed often.
