Camped in my family's 30ft Jayco brand new only out maybe a grand total of 20 days has been in the shop 2 times for problems and most of it wasn't under warranty. My mom's friend has the same model as this one. It's a 2019 and is freaking nice!! One of the smallest trailers that's the most liveable. Huzza!

I agree with most of what you said except that you don’t need to be a carpenter, plumber or an electrician to build a camper. The people saying that they want to build a cargo trailer aren’t planning on paying a professional to do everything for them
@joeweaver99133 жыл бұрын
Agreed, and the point of building your own would be to get everything you want and nothing that you don't. Cargo trailers tend to far better built. I think this unit looks like a fine camper and I would be thrilled to own something like it. But I wouldn't expect it to last long.
@SalisburySnake3 жыл бұрын
I agree. I'm none of those things professionally, but I have extensive home remodeling experience and could build a trailer. The cargo trailer could work out in 2 scenarios: 1) you buy a used trailer and throw a futon in the back and a chemical toilet and an outdoor shower hose and call it done. 2) You build something nicer than you could ever buy, because you like building things and don't mind spending a lot. The youtuber is right that building something middle of the road that looks decent and doesn't cost over $15k is almost totally out of the question. The trade off we all know is that these trailers don't last very long. But this one is made for people with kids 5-15 years old, so no one really needs it to last forever.

Wow, I really like this and love the bunk beds for the grand kids, only thing, I'd want a window lower bunk too! Can that be put in? Would add a fridge that has the separate freezer and solar panels too. This is actually doable! Now to trade my little car in for a pick up truck! Oh, also add lots of color in there! 👏❤️

It's a great trailer, but that lower bunk situation is awful. Either your head is in a unvented box, or it's at the the bathroom door.

during lockdowns in sydney australia i was lucky to have a builder staying next door to me. he couldn't get much work because people were demanding builders be jibby jabbed to visit their homes, i gave him a few thousand to turn my van into a camper, best move ever, custom to fit me and my needs. i have traveled to the west coast and back during winter. couldnt live without my van now

It’s funny you brought up converting a cargo trailer into a camper, honestly there are generally two reasons why it is beneficial to do that over purchasing something like this. Number 1 is the price, $15k honestly is probably comparable to where I ended up on my last build which will be a higher quality than this but also have slightly less features. The main reason to convert a cargo trailer though is to be incognito 🥸, for the urban camping in that is the only real reason I would convert over purchase. This is a decent buy right here though.

This is literally the perfect camper for a family. My wife has finally come around on camping after going last year an really enjoyed it. We have a little one and plan to at some point have another one and this camper would be perfect. Has everything you need for a family and in a small footprint. Pretty much forces you to hangout outside which is the point to camping.

Thanks for covering this trailer. Awesome option considering our SUV tow vehicle and family size. Plus the price is great. We are hesitant with putting too much money into an “not-used-often-enough money pit.” But at this general price point it would be worth it given the opportunity to upgrade if we want to.
@gregnixon12963 жыл бұрын
The “not used often enough money pit” aspect is what prevents me from buying a trailer. In the suburbs, where do you park it for the 355-ish days of the year that you aren’t using it? I can’t justify the cost for storing it given its rare use.

A cargo trailer also doesn't have a high ceiling. You would have to special order a trailer with a higher ceiling.
