Ryu was an insane reveal back then! It kind of stunk that there were references to him and Roy in an uodate's code prior to the reveal. It ruined the surprise, but if the devs weren't releasing patch notes, how else were people supposed to learn about changes? I remember people going nuts over all the different moves Ryu had, and worrying about having to memorize command inputs. 6+ years later, and Kazuya is making Ryu look like a starter fighter! I will say that I regret the stage choice for the Street Fighter series. Big pits and a walkoff? Who likes to play on this stage? The other "fighting game" fighters (Terry Bogard and Kazuya Mishima) got WAY more interesting and fun stages, both of which are more similar to their source games. (Honestly, new stages in Smash Bros Ultimate are way better than they were in past games, with no stinkers I can think of.)

To be fair, that was before they saw how positive the response was to the DLC. We've gone through quite a few years of DLC having a bad rap outside of Nintendo, they probably wanted to stay out of that mess. But these guys have done it right and with respect to the original content, so it's worked out great so far. And yes, dat money too. :)

All respect to your opinion, but I disagree. We already knew Ryu and Roy were coming from data mines, and the Splatoon costumes were already revealed before as a pre order bonus. Everything else was either uninteresting, somewhat cool, or cringe-worthy (the Isabelle costume). The fact that the DLC was all released that day was cool, but the servers couldn't handle it all XD. This is all my opinion, but you're free to tell me why you thin, this presentation was the best.

Crispy they aren't a port they are a remake the original files are too old to be transferred so they had to recreate all the 64 stages from scratch meaning they put the effort in to make it look exactly like the original so you and others would think they just ported it over

Man I loved this presentation, there wasn’t a single bad announcement here. Roy finally returned, we got some awesome stages and Mii Fighter costumes, Ryu joined the battle, and all of it was made available that very day! It’s the polar opposite of the final presentation, honestly.

Hmm. This is the only place I can think of to post this, so here we go. If Inklings were in Smash, I thought of a little idea - You could play as 6 different colors, and each 2 would have a different weapon. For example - You could play as a Inkling Girl, and be able to swap to a Inkling Boy, like you would do with Robin. None of them would have any clothing change, just eye color change, weapon change, and ink color change. So, about the weapons. Orange Inkling Girl and Blue Inkling Boy would just have the Splattershot. Green Inkling Girl and Purple Inkling Boy would use the Roller. Yellow Inkling Girl and some other inkling color boy, idk, would have the Splat Charger. Or you could just have the special attack be a weapon changer, where you can change from the 3. Similar to Shulk. I dunno, just a random idea I had.
