My theory about Villager: Isabelle got infected, and Villager trapped her in her old assist trophy, and her getting infected drove the mayor of smashville into an Eerily calm state. Theory about Shiek: Zelda was infected keep in mind this version of sheik was based of the sheikh outfit from BOTW so technically she comes from the Wild Era she knows Zelda was infected because she can feel it she IS an alternate version of Zelda after all she knows her other self is No longer the same hence why she's worried She knows Zelda is SOMEWHERE and Somewhere Close and soon she might have to sacrifice herself to protect her friends even if all 3 Of the Links can't

Ok, hear me out. My theory on this is that the infection draws out your desires in a way that makes it so you would do anything to get it, but the first thing that would come to mind is murder. We can see this in the fact that Kirby ate the entirety of Dream Land, and a voice from one of the last chapters said "His hunger was his downfall" or words to that extent. Theres another example but first SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT Infected Pokemon trainer is chasing Mewtwo. Mewtwo was with Mii swordfighter, but it is said that Pokemon Trainer was only chasing Mewtwo. Considering that Mewtwo is kind of the strongest pokemon in SSBU, we can see that Pokemon trainer would want to capture him and has no interest in Mii swordfighter.

That would require knowing how it starts to do it safely, else they stand risk of being infected themselves (We don’t know the upper limits of the infection yet, what it can and can’t infect, but better safe than sorry). The infected have already been shown to strategize to an extent (a later post), so time travel might be something kept on the down low for a time
