Ever since he joined Vinesauce, Uncle Joel has streamed all sorts of bootlegs, weird games and virtual machines that he destroys. But now, it is time for him to join a game that's more batshit crazy than even the weirdest things he has encountered during his streams. Will this be good or will this be... bad?

Playstyle Origin:
For most, Joel's streams shine in the unexpected nature they usually have. Joel's funniest moments are often based around him playing/seeing something that is incredibly bizarre and comes out of nowhere, with extra points if said thing comes from an already weird media (and also Joel's reaction sells it even more).
Joel's moveset is inspired of that nature, as most moves incorporate a secondary option that is harder to pull off but much more rewarding, or sometimes the opposite, with the secondary option being more basic and straight forward in comparison to the initial action. But in general, like most other Lawl characters hailing directly from the Internet, playing against Joel means you have to keep your eyes on each one of his possible outcomes, unless you want to be mixed-up and lose.

Hey guys, if you're coming from Joel's stream, just thought it's worth mentioning that no, this isn't a real game. Just an animation. Sorry to get your hopes up. However, there is a real game in development at the moment, and while the focus is on it's own roster, the developer is going to add custom character support in the future, similar to Mugen, so Joel could b ported over at some point. But it's not exactly ready, so give it some time. Feel free to check out some other "Lawl" vids which are similar to this. I strongly recommend Chincherrias, the one who created Lawl in the first place, and Lawl What If, Lawl Beatdown and L-NEO as other fan-made spinoffs to check out.

You completely, fucking nailed it. Not even being biased (well kinda cause this is like, my favorite Nova set atm and will be for a loooong time), but this is seriously a highlight, not only for Nova but for Lawl in general. A grand majority of what makes Joel a rad, sugoi, meme lord is either represented as solidly and sharply as the metal scythes are made of, or referenced/ remixed to create a potent, beefy move like The Pizza (C4 is a more valid topping than pineapples btw). First of all, that entrance. If you were to include Joel's dad in somehow, it was a very sweet way of doing so. The Neutral buddies were a superb representation of the Window's series, each one bringing their own unique, yet easily controllable Expansion to Joel, with Felix, another invisible till provoked kitty being me favorite of the group. Already mentioned, but The Pizza is a very stronk projectile. Gotta love how there's two aggressive pizzas in Lawl now. Ya really did a great job killing two parkgoers with one rollercoaster on this one. The Bath's a move I was incredibly pumped to see. To have a rep for Joel's hilariously messed up Sim streams was so rad. It'll def shock and amaze players first time around, much Something that's also choice is the inclusion of another humorously take on The Blue Bomber. Here's hoping DK gets to see what his own, Sim self is like. Of course it wouldn't be Joel if he wasn't painting to the icon of art, Mr. Ross. Not only was it oh so fitting for Joel to literally stun his foes with his art, but to include yet another enticing detail to the canvas that is Nova with Joel's custom art just made this moveset all the more exciting, surprising even (in a good way though, rather than squirrely). The Final Smash was simply brilliant. Way to harken back to an iconic moment in Joel's streaming history, while having it rock his explosive personality. It looks and plays out like the opposite of tresh (dat Swedish flag was also a wonderful detail). Don't really comment on these (not sure why), but I also really enjoyed Red & Leo's codec here. The references were on point(ish), plus that new stage looks superb. A serious improvement over the prior. The taunts, victories, stage, and especially loss were also legit on point. I have so much to thank you for, Skap. Not only for this beautiful, hilarious meme fest of a moveset, but for technically getting me into Vinesauce back at the third Empty Slot. It was just something I was so unsure of, and like an idiot (ha ha me), thought it was all some weird spinoff of Vsauce at first. But when I saw how popular he was in the poll, being right up there with Skeletor, I made the decision to check it out. Now, both Joel & Vinny's streams are some of my all-time favorite things to watch, rewatch, and binge. My ears have been blessed by their respected bands music, and I have you and the voters to thank for being the eye-opener. I guess all I have to say now is, thank you, God bless you, see you next time.

This was a neat way to represent Joel's streams and all his memes. My favorite move was the Neutral B, with the ways the desktop assistants can assist Joel, from protecting him to acting like a wall, as well as the Down B, which is one big tribute to the Bob Ross Mario Paint streams. The Up B was pretty funny thanks to its bizarre source, and so were Skinner's regular attacks shown here. I also liked his stage, which was one big Windows desktop perfect for destruction. Overall, Joel would be proud of this, and the hard work most certainly paid off!

This was soooo fucking good, and worth the wait ever since he first appeared in an empty slot. Where do I even begin? Everything was just top notch here in terms of references and translating Joel well into a moveset. Joel is one of those characters who seemingly has too much material, but here I think you made the sources broad and encompassing enough to represent Vinesauce Joel's finest moments. My favorite was probably the inclusion of Bonzi Buddy. We all knew he was going to be somewhere in the moveset, but how you incorporated him made me lose it for a good minute. *And that fucking zoom in though.* I legit got hyped when the camera zoomed in, Nova looks even better when you're more up close to the action. Overall, another fine moveset from Lawl Nova, and it only proves how Joel was destined to be in this roster.

Holy shit, this has to be my new favorite moveset out of Nova! The sheer perfection and charm is on point, and the presentation got a major boost, what with the cool zoom-ins and all. The moveset itself was fantastic, and truly captures Joel's personality and style. What sells it for me is that he always has something to say when doing his stuff (like a certain bobcat). This was super interesting moveset, i like how after a few rather complex movesets we got to down to a more simpler moveset. I love the Neutral Special and all the references to different streams, of course the Bob Ross had to be there as it's one of the most iconic Joel streams. Final Smash was entertaining too with a twist to the "dropping things" formula. Also love the short appearance of Kid Joel in one of the taunts. This is really fighting with K. Rool for best Nova moveset of the year, but i can say ya did brilliant man.

Surprisingly enough I felt this moveset was a bit more complex than say, Crack Figure or Skinner, but it does remind me a bit of the older Nova movesets so I can see what you mean with "Simple". I am glad you enjoyed the moveset and and I was actually a bit worried about the Final Smash not being well recieved, but I am glad the Mario Party-esque minigame aspect saved it!

I love how Joel _pwonunciates evwything_ like a streamer Christopher Walken. The Lawl Nova update introduced little menus to control asdfguy and Toon Guybrush's random attacks, now I notice how each of them links to the easthetic of each franchise. It's something that has been there for a while, but the fact I noticed it right now tells how much attention to detail you have. And all of the new Khan Building extras are currently as canon as Red Leo Media itself! That's a nice touch.

At the time of Empty Slot 3 where Joel made his Empty Slow debut, I knew what Vinesauce was, but I only knew who Vinny was at the time. After seeing Joel make it pretty far in Empty Slot 3's results, I checked out some of his videos, and now I kinda prefer him over Vinny, and it got me to vote him in Empty Slot 4, and this moveset was worth winning it! Loved the Netural B and the Down B cause Windows Corruptions and Bob Ross paintings in Mario Paint are my personal favorite videos Joel has done. Plus the stage is pretty awesome too. Awesome set! Now if only Joel would watch this on a stream.... Also... that character in the mirror at the end, that ain't Hat Kid. o_0

I just got a new main in nova! Hands down my favorite character thus far, combining some moves with different references was hella nice I liked virtually all of the moves, taunts and everything But, y'know what would have been funny Have one of his desktop assistants be "I WANT THE GUN" from the same vid as Super Death Sword Cause that way he'd have a gun for neutral b :v Jokes aside, i loved everything dude!

Here is some comparison of Joel's moves between Lawl and MUGEN (Including his Taunts): Super Burning Death Sword: In Mugen, the giant death sword will come out from the grou and damage the opponent, but in Lawl, you can do some combos but the sword will swing at the opponent but its very slow. The Pizza He-man: In MUGEN, Joel will shout "The Pizza He-man! Eat it!" And throws it at the opponent. But if you try to jump it, the pizza will move up and down. In Lawl, He will throw it very fast and it will get back to him like a Boomerang. But with Solarflare's Joel Edit: The Pizza will be thrown fast and it will explode at the opponent after the pizza is thrown at the opponent Nuke Norrway: In MUGEN, Joel will grab the opponent just like Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu and the missles will start to explode at the opponent. But in Lawl, he will launch the missles and it will explode at anyone. Weird Effects: In MUGEN, Joel will do a strong uppercut the opponent and some weird effects will do some sounds. But in Lawl, He will do a taunt and his face changes You Fucking Idiot: Both Mugen and Lawl looked the same but different. In MUGEN, It was replaced with Luigi heads, But in Lawl, It has Joel's heads (I mean check Oliver as Latias's video of his Joel Demonstration and even Solarflare's Edit)

Man, Joel was Wonderful! Pizza HE-MAN has great potential for Combos with that C4 Mechanic That Bath Head special reminds me of OneyPlays when he did GTA Mods "We're Going To Space, WHOOOHOOHOO!" The Nuke Norway final smash is just like Crack Figure's but Even Better! But what did Simpsons episode did that Laser Cannon Skinner used for his Up Smash came from?
