Ultimate Ganondorf beats all other Ganons. He looks cool, actually uses his sword, and he is actually scary and *dangerous.* I do love the classic OoT voices in Melee though, but Ultimate did well bringing back the actual actor for it. TP Ganon was okay... he seemed a bit "tubby" though, and he was somewhat of a joke in almost all other games. I mean, if he hit you, it was a different story, but actually _landing_ a hit in Brawl/3DS/WiiU was easier said than done.

I will agree that it would be nice, if he had at least one move that was below frame 6, but his Jab in Ultimate works really well for what it is supossed to do. The only issue with his Jab is that it doesn't hit any of the smaller cast, which is a problem with many of his moves. For a character of his size and stature, his reach and hitboxes are really questionable at times. Though if we wanna talk about moves that need to be replaced besides Neutral and Up-b, what about U-tilt? This move is an honest to god (running) joke, which they don't seem intend on fixing for whatever reason. While it looks awesome and is one of the most satisfying to land, there are so many other moves in Ganon's arsenal, which fufil that niché and more far better. I would have rather had that one replaced by his former U-smash so we could have had a proper anti airial and more reliable; "get off me" tool than jab.

@@antorcha4975 Not sure how familliar you are with Legend of Zelda Lore, but the sad thing is, he defininitely has an attack in multiple games that would make for a good projectile, it's called Deadman's volley also known by the name Energy tennis(ball) by the fandom. It's named that way bc essentially he charges an Electric/plasma-ish sphere which he hurls at Link and he can/must reflect with his sword (or if you're trolly, an empty bottle). The volley gets faster with each attack until someone can no longer keep up. The way this could work in Smash is such; you charge it with B and the more charge it has, the faster it will fly. It can be bounced back by any attack, however the faster it becomes the more damage you will have to deal to return it. If you try to shield it, it will just ignore shield and hit you anyway. (This is based on it's properties in Ww, where it bypasses even Link's mirror shield) The attack will have a Stun effect similair to Zero suit N-b and last longer depending on damage/charge absorbed.

@Scissorman One nit-picky correction; although Ganondorf doesn’t exactly utilize a sword in OOT, he does have one on his person before usurping the king of Hyrule (most notably visible during the “I owe it to you, kid!” cutscene, right after Young Link pulls the Master Sword from its pedestal). The hilt shape suggests that it’s a Gerudo scimitar, or at least a blade that originates from that region. Considering all of this, it wouldn’t be hard to infer that the sword was used to some degree during his invasion of Hyrule Castle.

I personally like Twilight Ganon a bit more than Oot Ganon(mainly his look in Brawl), but I do see why everyone else prefers Oot Ganon. However, I do think both Ganons look badass and had gotten to love Oot Ganon as well. I still miss Twilight Ganon though, and would love to see him make a return in Ultimate, Ditto for Twilight Link and Zelda. Hell, for Ganon, I'd be perfectly fine with Twilight Ganon as an alternate costume with the same moveset as Ultimate Ganon. That's just my opinion.

While he may look like a brute force kind of guy Ganon relies on his weapon of choice and sometimes energy attacks however some people do like his moveset and would probably be a bit disappointed if he got a new one that was very different however there is a pretty clever compromise i’ve seen some people suggest to make everyone happy So we give Ganon a completely original move set then add Black Shadow to the game (if you don’t know he is captain falcon’s rival) and give him Ganondorf’s old moveset this would do three positives A: give F-zero some more representation B: keep Ganon’s current gameplay style for the people who don’t like his redesign C: it would better represent Ganon’s character and give the legend Zelda much better representation
