I've been working hard to perfect Mac, and I realized something smart Nintendo either intentionally or accidentally did: Little Mac works exactly like he does in the games. Dodge, counter, be faster and smarter than your opponent. Trick them, keep them away, but don't chase them, or else they'll counter you too. Wait for the perfect moment--then, once again, dodge, and counter. If you attack a Little Mac and they spot dodge, you're fucked. If you underestimate a Little Mac, they'll send you flying. If they're seemingly open...don't go for it. They're waiting for you. Competent Little Mac Players embrace the play style that the punch out games created, just stay calm and wait-- your opponent will open themselves up.

Well honestly, that’s the way to go about most fighting games that put you in the role of a video game character like this. The best way to play Mario would be to play him like in his games, stay acrobatic and agile, use your surroundings. Link is the same, he plays how he would play in any of his games, wait and watch your enemy and detect a pattern. Sonic plays best if you keep moving but stay on the ground for the most part. Nintendo really did a good job with making the characters and their move sets true to themselves

The Little Mac trailer was the first time I was legitimately hype for a character joining Smash... Punch Out was one of my favorite games when I was a kid, and I would always play the NES game from Virtual Console on the Wii U and the Wii reboot, so seeing Mac join Smash 4 completely blew my mind... Though many hype character reveals have surpassed him, I will always keep Mac’s Smash trailer in a special place in my heart... :)

Ok, I know I’m most likely not the first one too say this,(I haven’t seen anyone talking about it so far so I just assume) but it would be absolutely awesome if there was a punch out comic in this exact art style. I think it would be amazing. Have the story follow a mixed version of the nes and wii story(maybe do some of snes if you have to). And In between fights, have some moral conflict to keep it interesting. Maybe you could do an origin story of Mac; idk I just think it would be great.
