This issue is, you can increase the gear ratio, but you will end up with diminishing returns without also increasing the horsepower. IE. with your current power you could have half the gear and just pedal twice as fast and get the same speed. The proper gearing would be to match both your peak horsepower with peak pedal rpm, resulting in your peak wheel rpm.

Hello to you who are reading, how are you? I want to tell you: THERE IS A GOD WHO LOVES YOU, AND HE WANTS TO SAVE YOU. The greatest proof of His love for you was on the cross. There is only one GOD, only one GOD, there are no others, and GOD is Love, he is merciful, but he is also a GOD of judgment and justice. This GOD has Laws, and we cannot keep them properly, we fail, we sin when we disobey His Laws. Think with me, when someone commits a crime, he breaks a certain Law, is he innocent or guilty? We understand that if he has committed a crime, broken or disobeyed a law, he is not innocent, but guilty. Does a guilty deserve to be convicted or acquitted? We understand that if he committed a crime he deserves to be convicted. Such is the state of the human being before God. guilty. The Bible says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23). We have sinned against GOD, we are not innocent but guilty, and our sins condemn us and condemn us to hell. But I want to tell you that there is hope for us, there is forgiveness for our sins, because, even though we are flawed and sinners, God loved us so much that in the fullness of time he sent his SON, JESUS CHRIST to this earth. JESUS is the one who was born under the law of GOD. JESUS fulfilled all the law of God, being thus perfect, in Jesus there was no sin nor deceit in his mouth. For when the LORD JESUS was here, HE did good to all, and healed all who were oppressed by the devil, JESUS was not a person who trampled on those who were fallen, on the contrary, HE stretched out His hands to the fallen, JESUS came to to save sinners, to seek and to save that which was lost, he performed miracles, signs and wonders among the people, the blind saw, the deaf heard, the dumb spoke, the lame walked and the dead were raised, for God was with HE. Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. And then according to God's plan, Jesus being innocent, was rejected, was wronged and was condemned to death, and death on a cross. In this fact, GOD proves his love for us, in that CHRIST died nailed to a cross on our behalf, HE died for our sins, HE was our substitute suffering the condemnation that we deserve. Then HE was buried and after three days, GOD raised Jesus from the dead, breaking the shackles of death, because it was impossible for death to stop him. After Jesus was resurrected, He gave commandments to His disciples, and the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God. JESUS CHRIST is the Judge who will judge the living and the dead, what GOD is announcing to all people is repentance. Repent of your sins, forsake your sins, and turn to GOD, believe in his SON JESUS CHRIST, so that your sins may be forgiven, only JESUS can save the souls of men, JESUS CHRIST is the only way, Put all your faith, your trust and your hope in Jesus and begin to obey him.

Looks like he didn’t check before welding that the final piece would fit on that disk, which is why there looks to be one oversized gap between pieces on the disk. Fortunately the margins were sufficient and it still worked, but I bet it produces a lot of chain bounce when the chain comes off that section.

@@mostafafouad3202 when "we" used to put the large sprocket and cranks from say a 26 or 27 inch bike on a 20 inch bike, the pedals would be much closer to the ground while driving straight on even terrain. With the pedals so low, if you were pedal down on the side that you were turning into that would cause the bike to jack-knife and usually cause you to fly off! It happened a few times, I learned the hard way! ☺️👍

I've wanted something similar to this (albeit smaller) for a while now. Never enjoyed that normal chain rings cap out at something like 54 teeth. My legs enjoy pedaling at around 80 rpm, and higher cadences kill me. The best I could ever find anywhere are the 70~80t chainrings they make for recumbent bikes, but was never adventerous enough to try buying & retrofitting one.

@@cleanname4439 So, I did some math, and to pull off what I'm looking for would take me a range of 69t~75t - 11 depending on tire size. -I did notice through previous trial and error btw, that smaller rear rings tend to lead to more friction in general (torque vs play in the casette, plus the outward-most casette rings introduce the most....what's the word for diagonal force? - on a piece trying to rotate along a different axis), so if I wanted to minimize that, it'd probably have to be scaled up a bit to 100t~110t - 16, which sounds a bit ridiculous (and heavy, and prone to warping...) I'll keep picking away at the problem though.

if you eliminate friction and air resistance, you will just accelerate more and more without stopping. Objects in motion stay in motion blah blah blah. Air resistance is actually why its harder to attain higher speeds because the faster you go, the more and more air you have to cut through, so 60mph there is TWICE as much air as going 30mph, which is twice as much as going 15mph and so forth.

@@jamescrud The force requirement changes with crank length. The higher gearing change means, there's equal effort between: example: [170 mm crank, 60T, 30 kph] vs [210 mm crank, 80T, 40 kph]. Also similar to a CVT engine, once you're at higher speeds, its easier to maintain with higher gear. Its like going 100 kph in first gear.

I was thinking about using bigger gears in the past , maybe front and rear , but also shortening the cranks due to joint problems from arthritis not allowing me to move legs ; actually have had both hips , right knee , and left knee will be replaced in a couple of months so now I might not do the customizing . In the past Didn't see anything in the market other than cranks for baby bicycles but wasn't sure if those would fit in an adult bike . Actually even though I probably won't do any fabrication to my bike I have been wanting some metal fabrication equipment for the longest time so maybe I'll finally buy some .

With a higher quality crank you could do the same thing by removing 4 or 5 bolts

One thing I would recommend is to make the chain smaller, it looks like it is just hanging there; the chain tensioner should not be all the way back it should be tensioning the chain.

That's impressive but he really let us down, that speed can easily be achieved by a beginner in an average mountain bike. I was expecting him to go way over 60kmh

4:51 46 km/h ? This is faster than classic electric bike. Amazing. Even faster than classic moped (TOMOS, Puch Pony Express...).

Not faster than a race bike near 60 km/h The problem is that you get tired sooner (it's like weightlifting in a bike) but it's a cool experiment
