Cool speed test of that X-Maxx, I've owned two a rock n roll edition 2 years ago and my current red version i plan to convert to rock n roll someday with some proline and upgraded electronics. wow 52mph with 20\46 gearing i wonder how hot it runs my current X-Maxx has 20\50 gearing and it runs fairly cool at 135 F both ESC and Motor on 90+ F day.

My buddy of mine put a 26tooth pinion gear on it with 46t spur gear. 68mph. My old one with 20/50. 58-60mph

Is 50/20 gearing not slower than 46/20? Are you using a 50/20 stock motor stall transmission? I wonder what the temperature is like!^^

@@philwebb606 oh yeah it depends. If you drive it hard back and forth yeah it will get hot quick it’s got 2 cooling fans but still gets hot I know

You have to give Plastraxxas credit when credit is due, the Xmaxx is dope. Im currently looking for one. Hey yo Jay, I drove my 8S Kraton V2 today for the first time. It's AMAZING, what surprised me the most about it, is that it turns on a dime. While running my RC a bunch of fat white youth baseball coaches yelled at me to get off the field. Im 6 foot 5 285 firm, so I cussed them out and they called law enforcement lol. They addressed me on some passive-aggressive racial stuff instead of politely asking me to leave or wait until the games were over, these games were nowhere near where I was running my Kraton. So I cussed them the heck out again and didn't budge, and three of the coaches tried to run up to me. See people think the South has issues, nope the Northeast is far worse, especially here in Pennslyvania, but these situations usually have the same outcome, a law-abiding man stands his ground then the usual suspects call the cops and play the victim.

Are you using traxxas gears? Every time I run the traxxas 18/46 gearing the teeth break on the spur gear in less than 10 minutes of run time. I went back the the stock gears and it runs fine.

That's what I keep hearing. It was the metal stock one that's 46 teeth we put on here and it was broke before so he replaced it with another one

I like the xmaxx its just to big. I have a park 3 blacks from my house i cant carry my slah or my drift cars up there no problem. Im not loading my car to run thru one battery pack

Is that using a GPS or the traxxas app to read 50 mph? I know mine does 44mph on a gps with stock gearing on 8s. My traxxas app default setting says 50mph. I have since changed the settings on the app for model setup drive ratio gear 1 to a 9 now it reads 44mph to match my gps.
