This a good remake, I always thought it was well received but comment section doesn’t seem to like it. One complaint I keep seeing is how come they didn’t add more animation? No on seems to know it was done purpose to persevere the gameplay. More animation frames well change the timing and feel like a different game to the veterans. They even had high ranking players Beta test to insure they kept the game authentic. I think this company did an amazing job on this game right down to the BMGs. Too bad this version won’t live on passed the ps3/xbox 360. This version will die with those consoles

COREY FULTZ Better than a lot of other hd remakes, such as EWJ’s, who had a number of levels, animations, frames, and endings cut out. All this is missing are * Options to use the 3D0 and PC soundtracks, HSF2 did it with the former, so why not here? This happens a lot in various ports that they include the original soundtrack and a new arranged one, but never previous arranged soundtracks.

The game gives you the option to change the sprites and music to the arcade ones so give it some credit at least! Gameplay wise, it's the best version of SSF2 Turbo imo.

This game was far from perfect, but I loved the hand-drawn anime art style. I can't think of anything cooler than Capcom creating an official SF Mugen-like game with all the characters from Alpha 3 Max and SFIII 3S all mixed together and using a similar hand-drawn style for everything. Would be the greatest SF game ever and would play it a ton more than SFV.

When it's 16-bit era graphics you can forget that everyone has like 4 frames of animation in their idle stance and background characters snap between two poses. With HD graphics you're just constantly reminded of it and it looks like a cheap flash game.

Just wish they didn't messed up the OST like this. I mean Dhalsim and M Bison themes are barely recognizable. Guile's theme is not nearly as emotional as the original one, they removed the background keyboard and added a dumb beat.

I totally get what you're saying. I'm one of the few that didn't it was completely a train wreck but the stages you mentioned yes were completely different. I read prior to playing this game way back when that there was a way to play it with the original score but I was unable to achieve that. So long ago.

God I hate that particle effect when you hit someone with Hadouken. Just looks so cheap and out of place. That's what I hate on mondern indie games. They just cut corners everywhere. (I know this is not a Indie game) They shoud've also added some more frames of animation for some movements. Just look at those elephants on dhalsim's stage.

Because it's a "remix" you're right they just tried to make it more "modern" perhaps to try and make some extra money off of the proud franchise. They just don't understand I guess. I love hand drawn animation where you can really see the effort people put into it. But of corse nowerdays you can easily use cheap stock effects. It is the same for flash animated cartoons. I have nothing against flash, but people mostly seem to use it just to cut corners

I totally concur. And as far as your expectant comment if you ever have a chance take a look at how I describe my profile. I'm old school with a modern mentality so I don't get offended easily. If I do something that's my own doing on a video I'll accept all criticisms. But I didn't make the game so how can I be offended by your comment. I welcome all comments and respond when I can. I'm a huge fan of the street fighter franchise and you pointed out something that I never noticed. So to analyze something like that makes me appreciate it that much more. I know that people see that the art has some corners cut, or things are out of place, or the music is "trash," but to some people, like me, this is a way for them to play ssf2t, without the need of mame, or a last gen console, or, going to an arcade. This game also gives you the option to mostly returning everything back to "the original." I mean, its not that I not like the original, just saying.

I tried to beat Akuma around 300 times. I need to try that I'm too scared, hide in the corner counter attack technique. LOL Fighting Akuma up front is straight suicidal, he's a beast

Seriously. The only way to really beat him is to take advantage of the split second openings when they come. Being more offensive is suicidal as yes he is a beast. He'll counter everything.

Idk if it carries over, but it's usually good timing that can take him down. I always got half my damage in on him when he jumped off the wall like chun-li. At least that's how it was in the original sf2.
