Over the last month, Super Sunny World hit a huge milestone! Up until the point, all the levels I have made were just "test maps" to help test new features as they went in. With most of the core features complete now, I have finally begun implementing final, shipping levels for the game!
I have got as far as completing world 1, so join me as I take you on a tour of what it in there so far. I've gone out of my way to avoid showing too many secrets, and after world 1, my dev logs will show less and less of each level, so don't worry about spoilers!

The ingame character doesn't look like the box art. Maybe a color editor some day...we can edit palette files for fun, so no need ha. Looks like alot of hard work and Like the Artwork. thanks for making the game, it looks fun. 🙂

Is music for stage 3 supposed to sound to sound like 'Life of Brian/Always look on the bright side'? Haha. Overall, really impressed how the game is coming along! Uncertain how it feels like to play, but I just got the impression during gameplay of stage 4 that the grey back-layer platforms were more of a background-graphic? Maybe it had something to do with the choice of color, but I was surprised oddly enough when Sunny landed on them. Like I didn't register that they were platforms along the beige/black front-layer ones? Just some first impression feedback.

Yes, stage 3 was actually inspired by "Always look on the bright side." Thanks for the feedback on the readability of the platforms. I'll take a look.
