This video is a radio ad for the Super-Test Amusement Park in Tampa, back in 1964. It was featured on the Daisy Mae Radio Show, which was a longtime sponsor of hers.

Thanks again for posting this. I like to come watch it from time to time. I wasn't alive when it was around, but I enjoy looking at old videos and photos of our family business history and my Papa was proud of this place. We are still in business 74 years and still going. I'm 4th generation and my baby cousin just started working for us a few months ago.

Allison, I presume that your family business is/was Super-Test! Your grandfather (?) L.M. "Mike" Hughey spoke to me back in the 1990s when a newspaper article about Daisy Mae and Old Brother Charlie was published. Mr. Hughey was a big fan of Daisy Mae and Charlie, and supported them in many ways over a long period of time. One of the old Daisy Mae programs was one in the mid-1960s where Daisy had to announce that due to a sale of part of the company, her long association with Super-Test was finally coming to an end. Congratulations on continuing this fine company, and thanks for your comment!

I went there with my family in the late 50's and early 60's as a young child. My fondest memories was going to the Super-Test amusement park and the Sea breeze restaurant. I especially enjoyed riding the carousel, the ice cream, and corn dogs. If I remember correctly, when you filled up at the gas station, your purchase was free if the pump stopped on an even dollar amount.

Awesome video. In 1964 I was 4 years old. I'm sure I went there but I don't really remember. My older sisters and brother do though. What a treat for kids back then. Year round fun park.
