Montage needs more demos like this all over You Tube. This is way more relevant to me than the same old myriad of pianos. All this FM power and very few show it off well. Great job!
@DavidLee074 жыл бұрын
While armchair musicians argue over what synth is best and why this or that synth sucks, real musicians can get good results out of any capable instrument, as Matt does here once again. It's what you put into your playing and programming that matters most. Beautiful!
@RayyMusik4 жыл бұрын
So true. I‘ve heard people using a Montage for acoustic and DX7 piano sounds with string pads throughout. What a shame!
@ogasi17984 жыл бұрын
I have the montage and it is a lot MORE than a capable inst. Yes the player matters more usually but using the big M as the example is a bit hmmm, pretty much anyone could sound great on this beast - not saying he is just anyone as we all know he obviously has skills

But it doesn’t have that analogue tube warmth! 🙄

you have admit it though, the Montage is the Megatron of the digital synth world

Not all who argue are armchair musicians. Some are just enthusiasts who like to debate over sound.

How cool is it that Mr. Johnson, who is an accomplished and famous musician, also makes videos on KZbin to share his passion for synths and music? I am so glad I found this channel; it is informative and inspiring!

Recently, I've started watching your videos videos with my 4 year old asking her to imagine herself in space, in a space caddilac. Or asking her to imagine herself as a space cowgirl. Or floating on a cloud. Or flying into the sun. Or diving deep into the ocean. Or imagine herself glowing in the dark. This is the value of your music. It literally takes you places and it's beautiful. Thank you for this content. It may be alot to ask but please keep making content. We are so appreciative if it.

Some people have great chops others good taste and there are a tiny few who can sound design at the same level. There are however only a tiny handful of people who have all three. You, Matt, have all three in spades. I never fail to be thrilled impressed and joyful at everything you do. Oh and you most definitely should do an Ambient collection and release it.

@mattjohnsonsonjamiroquai What do you think if Yamaha could update the OS in this board since it already has the AWM2, FM-X Engines with these new engines for example some engines they’ve used in the past like, AN( Analog Modelling), VL (Virtual Synthesis) , VCM (Virtual Circuit Modelling from the Yamaha YC61), SY-Engine, CS-Engine,An1x Engine ,FDSP with few features of the Yamaha Reface series inside the board! I would like your opinion on that?!
