Wow !! What a great shot looking over the track at the end of the video . I never got to see Amaroo Park as I was only a child . I love watching all the old footage . Wish they kept Amaroo Park for the historic racing like Lakeside Qld. I love all the old drivers and cars such professionals. Beautiful footage 👍

He also jumped in Ron’s Falcon the next year at Bathurst. I think he was/is mates with Ron and Peter Malloy who I think was Ron’s engine guy at this time

'81 could have been Bob's Bathurst in the Falcon. He was gaining on DJ by more than enough every lap. If not for the crash, it could have been a very exciting finish.

Yes, Moffatt's XC "Federation " black with yellow and red stripes XC had blown up at Oran Park. Or maybe this was before the Oran Park ATCC round...can't quite recall. So from then until the '80 season ( with new rules/regulations/ new cars) came in, he had a spin in the A9X...couldn't believe how easy to set up and drive compared to the XA/B/C hardtops😂👍

There was a truckers' blockade on that weekend, meaning Moff couldn't bring the Falcon in its transporter. Seven prevailed upon Ron Hodgson to give Moff a drive in the second car,so he could put in an appearance.
