Hasbro is very closed minded since 2015. They live in their 6 inch world now and keep losing these great ideas to others like the Hiya Gi Joe figures and these new O-Rings

Hasbro is doing it the "business smart" way. You make a company pay for your license to work with what you own, S7 produces the figures on their dime, and they probably get a nice percentage of product sales without worry if it doesn't sell well.

I’m hoping Super7 bring more than just GI Joe to the Reaction+ line, like maybe other Hasbro licenses (like Dungeons & Dragons) or even Silverhawks. A repaint of that Cobra Commander as the Red Shadow Red Laser would also be welcome 😁

These are the Joes I’m excited about. I’m mainly a MP Transformer collector and O-ring Joes go great with those.

These look ok. The $20 price per figure is too much. That's a shame because the figures, vehicles, and play sets would be fun to collect. Over priced figures and toys simply are not going to sell.

@@chewinbubblegum2695 Yes. $10 is more reasonable considering that these are O-rings and do not have as many points of articulation that the GI Joe 25th Anniversary series of figures had.

@@hammertronactionfigures2426 I definitely agree. Another issue will be, if they are priced too low, the gangs of scalpers out there will eat up the supply & they will end up still costing us $20ea.

@@hammertronactionfigures2426 Sure in an ideal world, I'd agree completely. However it's inevitable that the scalper hordes will get their hands on as many of these as they possibly can. Especially the army builders & rare or popular figures. These people totally ruin the hobby & will definitely make it more difficult for those of us who are interested to get our hands on the quantities of these that we would like at a reasonable retail price.

$20!?! That’s ridiculous. Toys are way overpriced now. Obviously everyone is aiming just for adult collectors and no one not even old school fans and these collectors are trying to get kids off video games and into playing with toys (yes playing everyone seems to forget that’s what toys are for not just decorating shelves). Without getting kids interested, once the collectors are gone the toy industry is dead. No future thinking. We fans have destroyed what we love with support from the companies.

The figures look great, but does anyone else think they’re being a little mean with accessories (or lack of)? Hopefully if they sell well it might pave the way for more figures with extra weapons and backpacks. I guess we should just be grateful that o-rings are at least making a return.

Finally, they are revealed! They look great so far. Loving the suited Crimson Twins packaging being a complete throwback to their vintage packaging with the mirrors & all. Pretty sure the BAT is based more on their Marvel comic designs, as I kinda recognize their angular heads from there. Although $20 per figure has me a bit worried, as Hasbro basically charged their o-ring figure reissue/remakes that (via $40 2 packs) and they struggled to sell as good as they hoped & now Hasbro mostly does o-ring Joes through the Transformers crossover line.

The Tomax and Xamot figs have a nice throwback packaging to the original two pack from the classic gi joe series. nice detail.

@@comicbookfanboy2614 I’m talking about a complete reissue with vehicles and all. Everything as they were released in the 80’s. I would like to see them add new vehicles, more celebrity Joes that never were made, even modern ones. Imagine these: Chuck Norris (invasion USA) with 2 Mac 10s, an Airwolf chopper with String and DOM, Van Damme, MR T, maybe the whole damn A Team. Im just slinging ideas.

@@tonymanero7428 Yeah Hasbro had an exclusive Walmart line of Retro GI Joe figs and vehicles back 2 or 3 years ago. They stopped the line from being complete because they were not selling very well but Hasbro was attempting to do exactly what you just described.

Dan, while you're there and got the ear of the Super7 folks, ask them if they could start putting the Joe Ultimates on retro cards with one main weapon no extra hands, heads or other stuff to maybe get the price down to $29 or $35 .. this the best looking Joe line but the price ... "YIKES"

I'm disappointed that they didn't add wrist articulation. Look at that goofy, awkward way Cover Girl is holding the rifle. Maybe they'll at least twist the wrist in compared to the originals, which I love but I admit that they have a difficult time holding their accessories.

Man... they look Really good already. I was skeptical at first but they look Awesome and they aren't even painted yet. They're gonna have me BROKE in 2025. The best part is you know They're gonna do stuff thats more Cartoon based than orginal figure based or a mix of both where appropriate AND do stuff that we never got in the 80's like certain characters from the cartoon. Plus super crazy Vehicles. We might just end up getting a USS FLAGG. Super 7 is crazy enough to do it considering they did that crazy big Cats Lair (Thundercats)

Hasbro probably taking 30-50% in licensing scheme... there's your price gouge right there for absolutely 0 investment or effort on their part. Otherwise these would probably be priced right.

good report bro ok, it s expensive, but maybe they ll look decent, it might tempt me to get some now. as no way was I ready to pay the price for the statues, this... maybe a couple. I agree with others that wrists would make the price easier to swallow also, swappable heads could give them an advantage on other lines. so now you know... good show bro

The weapons look a bit off to me. A little goofy & the scale is not right. Cover Girl is a definite improvement over any Hasbro rendition, but besides that I'm not impressed by any of these. Cobra Commander being the only exception.
