The brakes are basically mountain bike brakes and aren’t that complicated but I think the levers have electric wiring because I believe the motor cuts on when you apply them. Changing pads and rotors isn’t that big of deal and there is plenty of KZbin videos explaining how do that. My S2 comes tomorrow I ordered it November 21 FYI...

Appreciate your videos! Nice setup! Just picked up a S2 at Holland's bike shop in Coronado (San Diego) last week It can't wait to get together with the squad! Definitely worth the money! If anyone is on fence, I say go for it! Love this bike. I went with the Obsidian. Already started the mods, bars, seat,cable management, alarm, fenders off, white rim liners. Waiting for Raid Dynamic frame panel to restock. Keep us posted for any S.D. group rides. ✌🏻️

For the S2 or the S1 get the large size. For the R or the RX I think most people get the small size. Hope that helps.

The pegs that you have on the bike are 8mm screws and they fit properly? Or did you have to do something to them to make them fit better?

So currently I have pegs that fit properly out the box but they cost $110. haha that said the ones I had prior were 8mm and i needed to use washers and they still didnt work too well but they only cost $15. so it really depends how much its worth to you.... in the end for me it was worth spending more and not having to deal with the hassle. After I watched your video I pulled the trigger and bought a S2. I have one question. I’ve heard you and other owners make reference to this “V1 motor”. Could you talk a little more about the motor in comparison to the V3 that I hear is now shipping with the S2’s. Thanks again for the great video bro. Keep ‘em coming!

Thanks so much Jon! So the V1 is what motor i have on my S2. I have had no problems with it at all so far. Some people are saying that they are getting the V3 on the bikes being delivered recently. The main difference is the V3 has a little more metal in the planetary gear system. There has been a lot of talk about this on Reddit and other sites and some people really get pretty crazy about it. Hope that helps to explain it a bit. 🍻🍻

Great review! I love the lower handlebars! I’m apparently the same height and weight as you, do you find yourself feeling hunched over more with the handlebars being lower than stock? That was my only concern with them.

The s and r series are garbage. overpriced and unreliable.plus if your battery conks out...youre on your own..The z on the other hand is the bike of the year. As of matter of fact at this time the only way i would buy the rx if it only came with the frame and suspension.
